Indeed... but none of which are Blades related , whereas the cricket pitch at the Lane is!

You might just be missing the irony of the original post.Indeed... but none of which are Blades related , whereas the cricket pitch at the Lane is!

As long as it doesn't nearly bankrupt us again for another 25 years.......It's about time we had a new, new south stand.
I don’t read the forum much or post much. I did used to post on BladesMad.
Anyway I’m not sure if this is general knowledge are not but I know somebody high up in the club and he told me two bits of info last night.
1) One of the middle stands is being made into two tiers. Plans are already underway. Can’t remember which one he said.
2) The Saudi Prince is going to be heavily involved going forward.
Not sure if this is already known but just sharing what I hear.
One would expect a club the size of SU to be back in the PL sooner rather than later though.
Yep, you would expect a club the size of United to get back to the top division sooner or later, just the same as those ten other clubs.Would one?
I don't think one would expect us to be promoted any more than about ten other clubs in the division if size is the reason.

For what it’s worth I think it’s remarkable how many smaller clubs have got to the Prem and made a good fist of it, shoving out some of the more traditional bigger clubs in the process.
Not sure that’s what they had in mind when they set up the Premier League though.

chuff me how much will the Desso costI suggest knocking down the South stand and building a cricket pavilion further back extending the pitch so that it can incorporate cricket in the summer
Is that instead of the statue, or are we having both?
Burnley’s fortunes changed the day they beat us in the play off final. They’ve managed to build on that ever since due to investing wisely.I've pondered the fact that so many so called "smaller" clubs have made it to the Prem too...
I was going with the theory that little southern clubs like Bournemouth and Brighton were more attractive to rich southern dwelling Jonny foreigners, and rich mardy arse footballers.
Burnley and Huddersfield sort of go against this theory...

Fact: Sheffield United have only won major trophies when Bramall Lane hosted cricket matches as well!

Woodwardfan Stand?
Didn't get all the benefits of promotion to the Premier LeagueBurnley’s fortunes changed the day they beat us in the play off final. They’ve managed to build on that ever since due to investing wisely.
We on the other hand....
Will they let
Another fact is the last time we won anything major was 1925. Cricket was played until 1973.
Sean. Think it all through. I hope to continue without any contact/ 'attention' from you.
I can do it. Can You? The Forum would not even notice.
All I can say is that I never/ever choose to comment on your posts unless you offend me.
As I have offered to you time and again in P.M's. Let's just avoid each other for the sake of the Forum.
SUFC matters more than your and my spats.
I'll copy itsinyerblood on this post.

Sorry. When you make self aggrandising claims that you can't actually back up because of your past record of missing the reality entirely, the weaknesses you've highlighted in my personality - as the moral guardian of our fan base rather than a personal attack, fellow Blade - I just can't help myself. Even if you do mistake taking the Mick for challenging your self believed quality poster status.
I mean, a poster asking twice to be left alone by you was ignored - until the forums biggest Ed Sheeran fan pointed out you were a snidy bully - and didn't even touch your radar.
No one wants your advice. Be told.
Totally off topic but you're right. I'm sure the commercial men at the top 6 are looking at the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth & Huddersfield and wondering if their 'product' is being maximised effectively by having to play team like that at small grounds. I'm sure they'd much rather have Leeds, Villa, US!!! In there with big grounds full...
Probably why the whispers of a Euro Super League are surfacing again...
I would agree with your comments regarding Bournemouth and Huddersfield but Brighton's stadium holds just under 31k and they averaged over 30k this season and finished 12th in the Premier League attendance tables. This figure is more than our near neighbours have achieved in 50 years.Totally off topic but you're right.
