What did you get banned from BU for?

[ In a 6 word riposte 50% of the words were on the 'Seven words you can't say on television' list - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_dirty_words

Must admit, that was one of the best BU moments, that made me laugh out loud. I must have checked 50 times before they removed it and you were gone forever! Class.

Hey Highbury, do you have a copy of the epic, beer-fueled post? Could you post an edited version on here?

I got banned for identifying various important historical film footages of SUFC. These were on various internet sites. Seemingly, this was not liked.

I often got banned for mentioning another forum may exist.....even if i never posted a link. Yes this place.

It's pretty ironic that you lot end up on here anyway.

:)

Maybe Step might consider joining this forum as a regular poster? He is a Blade after all.

(I'm not suggesting it would be at all amusing to see him hit with a ban... :-)

He's always kept an eye on this forum for sure.

He would need a hint on the future!

:D:D:D

I had a ban for saying something about Ian Bishop that I shouldn't have, one for calling Stafford Blade (I think) a very naughty word after the Everton home game (that post got mentioned a few times afterwards including by spaffmonkey -who was that?) and numerous times for mentioning William Hill (even when I was just answering another posters query).

are you sure it was me?? I had more bans than christmas dinners on BU. Some of the bans I received were ridiculous and petty at best. The guy in charge was a self important muppet who thought he was far more important than he actually was. Every time I was in E-mail correspondence with him the tone of his emails were so snottily written. I'll miss parts of BU, but I like the look of this site

Similar to my paltry single ban. It was for making a cryptic reference to youtube's mere existence. Damn my insolence!

If I'd known BU was going I'd have gone for a Highbury-esque cataclysm before the end...

Perhaps that's why there was no warning. :)

Had just the one ban, after the Reading fiasco with Wally Downes. Len insuated allsorts about Warnock. So I called Len a f**kwit and duly received a ban. Dont usually respond to him but had a momentarily lapse.

Suppose I was never banned from BU, however, I was never able to become a member to GET BANNED (which I surely would have). I remember trying to register for MONTHS (about 6-8), and everytime they weren't allowing new members at the time. Then when it would allow me to register they wanted me to pay £10. A quick email explaining the situation was met with a reply which may as well have said, 'Sucks to be you then, doesn't it; you'll have to pay to join my club!'. I was occasionally on the IRC Chat as ThoroldBlade or EdmontonBlade (and even once or twice NorthBayBlade) depending on my geographic locale at the time.

I had several run in's with Webbo during my stint on BU, and after a couple of snotty e-mails off him i decided that my time on their was drawing to an end, and the whole purposes of my visits became designed to see how much i could get away with before a ban, and in the end i did recieve a lifetime ban from BU.

It was a shame as i did enjoy BU and still read it regularly, but i didn't like Webbo, and i think he could have had a really good forum
