Too many mistakes in recruitment. 5 in total offered out now plus 2 released ( though Donaldson was always short term)

Some excellent signings but 6 mistakes is wasteful.

That 6 doesn't include those who stay on and haven't shown much yet.

Sharpen up Blades.
Why don't you write a letter to someone at the club to show your lack of support of Wilder's recruitment policies and suggest they do something about it. Or even better get Foxy to organise a petition.

Long tried it on big style with contract issues when Adkins left ,it was never going to wash with Wilder ,hopefully hes learned a lesson and wont be such a twat in future. And hes rubbish.
Don’t think Wimbledon fans would agree with you.

Thought you were 100% behind Wilder?? Make your mind up!

I do not need, or want, your approval. Did you really look for the existing thread ? If so, how did you miss it ? Or did you just assume that your superior everything meant that no-one could possibly have got to the subject before you ?

But I do agree that Foxy should DO SOMETHING !! FFS Foxy. Get off your lazy backside and TAKE SOME ACTION !!!!!

There are many members of this forum who could have reported YOU during the last years, months, weeks, days, hours, for your consistently insulting nonsense.

But, as we know, self-awareness isn't really your thing, is it ?

Go find any post where I have broken rules or been anything like as crass as this post.

No, Bladezz is right.

Thinking that you can threaten or bully your way around the forum is unhealthy, egotistical, and clearly suggests you have an inflated sense of your own worth to this forum. Rather than behave with humility (which may not be possible), accept criticism or even banter, you seem to think that a few curt words, the possibility that you will 'report' someone simply because they offer criticism of yourself is woeful and you should be ashamed.

Bladezz post said, word for word " What a twat" no more no less.

Fine words itsy. Wrong poster, wrong example.

Hey up Woody!

That’s a bit harsh! I can’t think of any manager who didn’t make bad recruits. You have to look at what the managers achieved and Wilders done miracles on very little money.

He can sign 10 duds for me if he keeps pulling rabbits out the hat as he has done.

I did say in the o.p. that there had been great signings and I agree, as you know Wilder is the miracle worker.

Didn't see it? You fucking posted on it on Tuesday!

Retained list out today you stirrer Winc.:)

Edit: My mistake. I honestly thought that other thread last Tuesday was just speculation and I just added a detail re reed. I thought the list was out today when I read it on the club website.

You know full well I am Silent.

Debate is king. Join the debate.

The o.p. had some balance re great signings too. But even the Messiah makes mistakes somewhere in his exploits.

Correct, no more, no less, and those three words were directed at you, deservedly.

Going into denial won't help you evade what's clear to almost every poster on here. You threatened her (your post #15), a sad reflection on your temperament.
The mature response would have been to either ignore her post or respond in a way that was non-threatening. All she did was refer to you as a twat, not a child-killer.

In future it might be worth taking a deep breath before replying to posts, especially if you're incapable of considering your own comments before posting.

It was simply a measured response to a vulgar post aimed at me, the poster, and without any connection to the thread.

That is certainly in contravention of basic courtesy, reasonable human behaviour and obviously in contravention of the rules of this forum.

There are players on the transfer list who I thought were out of contract (Reed, Long, Hanson).

For all the talk Chris came out with when he joined about putting players on long contracts,we're giving out contracts which are too long. We don't learn.

Obviously, Thomas and Heneghan were punts and the former clearly has a bad attitude so can quite frankly do one.

I'm assuming that much of this is driven by lack of funds. The fact we have players like C Evans, Clarke, Sharp, Duffy, Lafferty, Holmes etc on too long contracts is I guess a result of that.

Also, does this mean Jake Wright has another year on his contract?

There are two ways of looking at this.

The kind way is that we have no money and the only way to attract players is to give them longer contracts than we'd ideally like to.

The other is the fact that we're so myopic about signing British (Isles) players that we're paying over the odds.

We basically need to spread our net wider. There seems little interest in doing that at the top, either from Chris of Kev

If I remember correctly, the reason we gave Leon a longer contract was the fact we couldn't match Bury's wages. Bury.

Now I correct a correction. The list was out today WincobankBlade - you stirrer.:)

In fact my o.p. was entirely valid, thank goodness.

Too many 'contraventions', most definitely in contravention of the rules of easy to understand grammar. Given some of the posts on this forum her reply was relatively mild, unless you're such a wilting violet that you are incapable of dealing with a few harsh comments.

Her post may have had no bearing on the thread, but it had complete relevance to your post (#1) she was responding to.

Stop pontificating and step down from your soap-box.

We beg to differ on basic behaviour then itsin.

Tell you what you've had a few posts on this thread without a worthwhile contribution, apart from maybe grammar ( too many contraventions is not actually 'grammar' in my school book mind you). You say the o.p. deserved such vulgarity. Why not challenge it by debate, this is a forum after all. Debate it.

Now that is proper debate. I've given it a 'like' even though I don't agree with half of it.

You've fallen into the deluded trap of thinking that you can dictate. As far as I'm concerned there's nothing to debate, other than to highlight your own shortcomings.

Tell you what, that's all fine then. By the way, without looking 'what was this thread about?' @itsinyer ;)

It's also a contravention of reasonable human behaviour to implicitly attack people via PM with no basis whatsoever and then act like you're the victim, yet here we are...

It's a tough one really. In a perfect world we'd be giving out short contracts to old or untried players. But that relies on being able to pay higher wages than their current club or our competitors. We clearly can do neither.

However, it's hard to argue that a fair proportion of Wilder's signings and contract offers have been poor.

Which is to be expected on some scale when we are looking to test good players at levels they have not played at before. Cut out a thrd of the failures and we have more money to spend. Easier said than done. Man Utd waste money at the £50m level and at £98m.
