What a beautiful goal that third is – some lovely interplay by Clarke & Sharp to quickly release Stevens (I think) on the left, a good deep cross and a clever finish from Freeman.

No pressure game and the quality and class comes back out. We bottled it this season, these players need to believe in themselves more and deal with the pressure because they absolutely are good enough. Optimistic for next season, something to build on.

We were short of experience of how to play in this league . It's a challenge to step up and play better sides week in week out than who we played in league one. Cardiff have gotten out of this league by having the stickability to grind out results . They are not that much better a team but have all the professional nous to eek out a result like when they got a draw at the Lane. Its that where we have been found wanting. We gave what we had but have to learn how to be more resilient . a bit nastier. Aston Villa came here and used some proper pro con tricks. We are too nice . Play pretty stuff but need a bit more hard nosed brutality

Would you play him ahead of Baldock though? We have two very good right wing backs but Baldock shades it for me.
For me yes, every time. Baldock is probably faster but, in the system we play, the wing back HAS to have an end product. To me, Baldock lacks that. Compare to Freeman..... no contest I am afraid. Baldock does, however, strike me as the better defender.

It's a nice dilemma to have. Some seasons it has been a debate about who is our least worst right back/wingback!

Leon's cross for the 3rd i think LB.
Three great goals...Good to see Freeman back...i like Baldock, but Freeman does offer more of a goal threat, and It would have been handy to have them both through the season pushing each other,or one on for the other to freshen things up...I definately think KF would have chipped in with another half dozen goals...remember him early season still getting into good positions, but the ball didn't come.

Which of the 3 goals do you think is the best?

The 3rd is the best in my opinion

He’s faster, fitter, more tenacious, more energetic. No contest because Freeman scored a goal yesterday?

Nonsense, I am afraid.

Last season we got promoted with goals in abundance from Freeman. Coutts has been missed.......but so has Freeman.

No comparison. We went to the top of the league without Freeman. Couttsy was injured and we declined immediately.

Goal cams, since they were all top draw goals:

Have to say Pinchy me old traffic cone lover, I completely agree. Freeman scored 10 in a lower league where we stood out by a mile against the opposition, doesn't mean he would this season.

I think Baldock is the better player, however I'd try and get one of them playing LWB as Stevens offers very little attacking threat on the other flank.

I'd try Baldock at left back, Stevens has had a free pass all season in that position. Lafferty can't be doing it in training or must have left a floater in the bogs.

I think we carry on with Edna for now. The break might do him good and we’ll see how he goes pre-season? He may return to his early season form, which was very good,

Didn't notice it until I watched them back but Aiden flint applauds Clarke for the opener

No, I am basing my personal appraisal on what I have seen over the past two seasons.

This was not a direct comparison to Coutts but more about his valuable contribution with goals. Something Baldock was not able to do. Don’t forget that’s freeman scored was it, 10 or 11 the previous season? No need to change the direction of the comparison to suit your own agenda, is there?

So am I. No contest.
So, your opinion of no contest is that Baldock can run around a lot, keep possession but not give it to anyone in an attacking position to score nor can he score himself. Neither can he beat the first man, a lot of times, with the few crosses he does put in? His defending is so superior that he doesn’t need these qualities in a back five?
