If this happens then -
a. Our board need to hang their heads in shame. Have they learned nothing from the debacles of every manager since Warnock? Getting a manager to make the Blades tick is next to impossible and now we've found one they need to bloody pull their fingers out to keep him.
b. Wilder needs his bumps feeling. Why would he want to drop a division - and even more - why would he want to go to a poison chalice of a club that has failed many good managers careers (not least Coleman)?
c. Sunderland must have paid him stupid money (or offered stupid money for the team to be rebuilt) - which I reckon is a recipe for them to end up more like Hartlepool than Newcastle
