That’s it then

Would be a very strange move for him. He talks about taking it to the next level and this wouldn’t be.

Then again if he hangs around with us, his stock may fall next season, depending on what happens at board level. If he’a been told no cash until it’s sorted, then it’s stick or twist time for him. How long do you leave it

Controversial and I'll get all the usual "pig abuse" but I'm not bothered. He doesn't believe in either himself, the players or both. At the end of the day, nothing will have changed from preseason 2017. It stinks of wilder playing up the ownership debate to keep his 'legend state's while jumping ship because he suspects he'll not be able to repeat this seasons early form. I've found his demeanour a tad embarrassing TBH. Sulking like a big kid managing a kids team that has gobby mum's and dads sticking nose in. If he go's we'll have managers quing up. 2 years in management at a club is long enough. Shake it up.

Pig.

:)

Seeing as Wilders under contract, wouldnt Sunderland have to a) make an official approach to speak to him, and b) have that request accepted?

Because if CW is about to join Sunderland as the bookies suggest, then either the above has all happened, OR CW has resigned on the sly and gone up there on his own steam. Neither of those scenarios are remotely likely to occur in 2018 without being leaked somewhere.

I imagine some pig just banged a tenner on in hope.

They’d have to track down McCabe to his hideout first...but HEY, if the big lower league clubs come a calling you can’t stand in his way, providing the compo’s good.

What odds can I get on Chris Wilder still being Blades boss in September?

Because right now I would slap £20 on it.

Until there is an obvious leak then it's pure speculation. My hope is that Wilder is only letting it run to give the owners a kick up the arse.

So many of his family and friends are Blades that surely word would get out if he had decided to do a runner.

Surely the owners know that a lot of fans would turn on them if Wilder leaves? Clearly they'd get the blame and perhaps a section of the fan base might "walk" as well - even if only temporarily.

Don't see the move happening, he is still under contract and loves United.
He's done a great job for us and I'm sure he would want to keep improving on it.
