I believe was sat directly behind me today. Prince's representative?
Anyway, whilst his American style enthusiasm for us can't be faulted, his knowledge and understanding of the actual game was astoundingly weak. Not a necessity when a board member I hear some cry, but hearing it at first hand was a trifle discomforting for me.

Wasn't sat near McCabe either, or am I reading too much into that observation. His conversation with the refs assessor was interesting though .

Go on den, spill da beanz. I love all this gossipy minutiae. My conversation with the ref throughout the game was particularly fruity so I hope Tareq was calling him out as a porky posing son of a bitch.

Not quite as fruitier one way conversation as Snowman's, but he did broach the subject of gamesmanship/time wasting with the assessor, who retorted all teams do it (fair point).
However, when Oasis lookalike no.4, Pearson, feigned paralysis near the end, the assessor defended him saying he was definitely hurt (Pearson limped effectively for a few seconds afterwards). Scary that an assessor can be duped, no wonder refs are so gullible!

Maybe Kev moved because he was fed up of all the questions from him.

"Which team are we"

"The Prince says his first signings when he takes over are Sidney Crosby and Lebron James"

"Clappers, the future"

Jesus Christ are you kidding? That one of the worst fakes of the game, and there were a lot! Prick soon stopped limping when the ball went near him a second later though! The worst culprit was the soft arse keeper I reckon? Looked like he was made out of marshmallows!

Unfortunately mate I'm not
I was aghast when he said that....

Their GK time wasted about 10 times and finally got booked at the end of the game, embarrassing.

Funny thing about that was that everybody was having a go at the ref. I thought he handled it fine, he knew he was taking the piss so wouldn't let the physio on the pitch

Not sure why I’m surprised actually! There is so much diving and play acting in the game now, it’s been going on for many many years and absolutely nothing has or will be done about it, nothing whatsoever. I can only hope Wilder and Knill tell our boys not to do it....

Yes your right, I remember that! Still, referee should have made the ‘injured’ player leave the field or book him for unsportsmanlike behaviour!

I got the impression that officialdom are so exasperated by the cheating, diving, feigning, that there is a blanket policy of almost every dive is treated as a foul. And every injury is real.

Yes it would appear they do pal, and it is utterly infuriating.

I would have retorted back, something along the lines of "maybe it's about time you useless inept twats started doing something about it then".

I thought the ref was useless yesterday. Blew up continually, not letting the game flow and didn't deal with the blatant time wasting that ruined the match.

If officials from either clubs are able to speak to the referee assessor then i find that worrying.

Shows that it can be easy for clubs to manipulate decisions

He’s only the assessor, doesn’t have a whistle!

Eh? He's sat in the stand assessing the refs performance. Only thing that may or may not be influenced is the assessment of the refs performance.

Well... I'd like to think I'm too well mannered to say such a thing to him directly, and after all, the guy was there doing his job without me heckling him.
However.... I think he'd heard some of my exasperated outpourings towards the ref to get my feelings on his performance.

Paid by whom?
oh i see, so when people complain about refs being against us - don't question that logic but questioning the idea of refs being paid to be against us, different story

Were you eavesdropping?

Sorry, I was trying to suggest the Princes representative do the retorting
