Wilder on the boardroom struggle

I was watching the touchline today a lot, as there wasn’t much to see on the pitch, and he was a lot less animated then he usually was.

I have a sinking feeling that could be his last home match in charge,

I said during the second half, that it looked like even he had given up. I hope not.

Longer passage from the program (my emphasis):

When we review at the end of the season it will be with one eye firmly on kicking on next season. We need to keep on progressing. I wont settle for second best, there is always something to play for when you pull on that shirt and I've let the players know that. I want to see improvement every single game, whether it's the first game of the season with all to play for or the 45th.
The end of the season is close but it remains a crucial time for the football club. I join 25,000 Blades fans inside the Lane today in hoping for a quick resolution to the ownership issues at the top to give us the best possible chance of progressing.
We've learned a lot in this division this season, but the nature of football is that we cannot standstill; where we can, every department of the football club has to move forward.

I have to wonder what good the Prince believes will come from a hostile takeover.

The thing is I'm so in the dark about the whole situation that I can't even weigh up which ownership scenario I'd prefer, as I imagine many of us are.

I don't think Wilder will be around long if the Prince ends up sole owner.

To me, it's a clear message to the board which is 'sort this out quick or I may walk'

And I don' think he's doing it for effect, I think he has the courage of his convictions too. He wants to stay and build something special but I don't think he will hang around if he thinks zig n zag are going to play silly buggers. Hes ambitious and wants to make a name for himself and he wont let the Bramall Lane board dump on him. He seems to be saying I've done all I can with what I've been given...it's over to you now....

And history says that if Utds board can somehow fuk things up for this club, they will do (even if they have the club's best interests at heart sometimes). It's almost like a romantic tragedy at times.

They had better heed his words this time or it will be the fans who pay for it...again.

Sort it out at the top pronto please. Don't let this club slip away into apathy again.

If CW feels that he needs to leave then we might as well turn the club lights out and give up. He is everything that we needed to get this club back up where we need to be but if they fuk him off enough and he feels that he can't continue then I will also support SUFC from afar.

Its like having a child that no matter what breaks he gets in life and no matter how much you do to help them, they are adamant that they want to fuk up their own life. Your always there for them but after a bit you lose the will and think I have other things in life that I can dedicate my time too.
