Like many Bladey Boybanders you pay little regard to the reality that it’s up to the players to prove themselves good enough. If they are, they’ll make their way in the game. It’s not for United to build pathways or give runs. We owe young unproven players absolutely nothing. The debt is entirely the other way round. Perhaps if young De Juve and his daft dad had realised this unwelcome truth he might have made a footballer?
Professional clubs' academies are run as businesses, to make money and/or provide future players. They sell young kids a dream, knowing that only a tiny fraction will make the grade. The clubs (and I think Utd do ok in this respect) owe every kid a great deal, whether to help them make it or help them through the disappointment of not making it. As Blades we should support the club in both respects. I know that your on-line persona is just for wind-ups, and that the real you does not believe that SUFC should exploit 8-year-olds and just spit them out traumatised at the other end.

One of the things I am most proud of at this great club is the Futures program. It gives a second chance to some kids still trying to make a way in the game. It gives support & an education & qualifications to kids whose time at the Academy has come to an end. Helping them maybe find a non league club & a profession outside football. And, it gives a wider base - so that people in 50 years time can say - I played for Sheffield Utd, not the first team, but I played.
What a Club
What a Club
And, I get called a Bladey Boybander ....
I'm happy with that
& Proud.

Son of a friend got on the Futures programme, didn't make the grade at the end, but loved it. Comes from a blue-and-White family of long-standing, and though they have not changed religion, the family speak really well of United and the experience they gave him. And know that Wednesday offer nothing of similar quality. I am more than happy for a bit of my season ticket money to be spent like that.
Keep wearing your Bladey Boybander badge with pride.

It's all right, I'm an 'S2 hoof lover' for defending the hilariously named Dinosaur Dave and Nick 'Traffic cone' Montgomery.

We're all wankers at the Lane...........apparently.

Pinchy is just a troll since he rarely debates with anyone on here. Quite sad as I thought his opinion was worth something back in the day. Now he someone who can't wait to slag fans, youth players and senior players off.

It must be quite a bore for him to go to Bramall Lane and be surrounded by over 25,000 know nothing Bladey Blade wankers.

First time i have replied to this idiots posts/replies. Pig no doubt!

FUCKWIT!

What reply was that? Still, at least you have the decency to sign it, rather than hiding. Credit to you for that. Punctuation could be better, though. I can assist with that, just as I can with odd ideas about football. It’s a tough job but I’m here to help.

Pinchy you are a very arrogant man and yet you still wonder why people pick fault with you.
Rather like Brian the Blade ?
