but massive game as 1 states likely we will either go level with 4 to go or 6pts behind. we beat them quite comfortably 3-0 last season despite no real changes from either team, i feel this will be a whole different game

i like the Millwall humour even if i don't like some of their fans because they are horrible people play off final proved that in 10yrs only 1 pitch invasion has happened at wembley it was Millwall even 1 of their own players slagged them off in a tv interview. but if we dont go up, id like to see them in the premier league because if west ham think they have problems now at Olympic stadium policing, they wont have seen anything yet :D

Very last paragraph :) :) :)
“If Millwall gets promoted, I’m cancelling the kids’ season tickets. They can’t get a sniff of sporting glory at such a young age. It’ll ruin them. First they need to suffer decades of soul-crushing misery.” :)

Our kids havn't had decades of it, just 6 years in League 1 ....... Ours have earnt a couple of Promotions

I don't think I'd hate the Pigs half as much if they were more like Millwall.

Millwall know how to take the piss and can take it when it's reciprocated as well. They have a sense of humour

Those twats up the road are a bunch of hypocritical, perma-offended, precious, hoity toity little weasels who moan us about "having no class" whilst ignoring the fact that they're always near the top for arrests and banning orders every season.

Just saved thi bacon theer, Roy lad.

I hope tha's not been comin' on cos they've been saying some reight things abaht thi..........

Here’s another...

“Also, lived in Sheffield and it was done out of warm feelings to the place & team.

As said before,I like the Blades, went to a few games when I lived there, and they were a lot like us - mostly working class, passed the club down through the generations, rain or shine, saw the humour in being shit and didn't take it all that seriously, but passionately got behind their team and could create a very partisan atmosphere.

In contrast to Wednesday - who I found to be supported by more middle-class types from the suburbs, who really did think their shit didn't stink and believed the likes of Millwall & Sheffield United were below them, despite being bang average for the last 50 years. I call them the Crystal Palace of the north!”

Don't like Millwall, horrible set of fans. Got to doff my hat though a reasonable set of comments.

Thanks Roygbiv the flip side of winning and going 6 points clear is Blades win and we are level. Here is hoping Wilder can break the history of United bottling the big games.

That's the second comment I've seen about our diet up here.

Can't say I've noticed the residents of Lewisham following a strict Meditterrean diet in my experience.

Despite the humour we all know full well what will happen if it goes against them tomorrow, or for them for that matter.

As for the ticket allocation, whilst I think it's a bit OTT in one sense (what would happen if we drew them at the Lane in a cup quarter or two leg semi?), I also think for a club that has poor numbers at home and rarely brings many up here, they should quit whingeing when they want more than 1000 for once.

a club that has poor numbers at home

Poor numbers?

It's a miracle we exist. In fact, in most other countries we wouldn't.

The club has never had any sustained success in the Football League and have a limited catchment area - we are hemmed in by the Thames a mile to the north, Charlton 4 miles to the east, Palace 6 miles to the south and Chelsea 7 miles to the west. Plus, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, two of the biggest clubs in world football play just a short train ride away; and West Ham, who have always been better than us & have cheap tickets, are only 3 tube stops away.

Millwall do not attract middle-class families just moved to SE London, they go to Palace or Charlton, or if they can afford it Chelsea or Arsenal. Millwall do not attract glory-hunters - they go to Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs or West Ham.

Millwall have to rely on the old communities around the ground and those people passing the club down like a cursed family heirloom to simply survive. The fact that on average 9-12,000 people do, despite us yo-yoing between the third and second tier of English football and enjoying the worse supporter rep in Europe, is amazing in my opinion.

In fact, if the people of Leeds were as passionate about their local football club as the people of our tiny part of inner-city London (ie actual Millwall areas), then Leeds United would be getting 70,000 a match for bouncing between the lower leagues. Yet, everyone waxes lyrical about their 'fantastic' support - what, 30,000 in a one club city of over 700,000 people & an even bigger metropolitan area? Especially as they've enjoyed many periods of sustained success.

I would love to see how 'fantastically' supported the likes of Leeds United, Derby County and Leicester City would be if Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea were a quick tube ride away and West Ham, Charlton and Crystal Palace directly competed for their support.

Poor!! Small. But, not poor!
