Got to give Millwall credit. Can't pretend to like Harris or their generally scummy approach to many things, but they've done superbly to be where they are.

Their current run is unreal so hopefully we can bring it to an end.

Whatever happens I see a tasty atmosphere on and off the pitch.
 
Suspect there'll be more like 28-30,000 there on Saturday.
 
Fair play to Harris, as much as I (and most) dislike Millwall you can't deny they're doing incredibly well. If he manages to get them into the playoffs he has to be manager of the year.

That being said, his comment about the 2 home games been "sell outs" did get me thinking. And a quick trip to their website shows they're not even close to selling out either...
 
If Cardiff finish 3rd I honestly think Millwall will win the play offs.
 
I don’t dislike Harris, really don’t like Millwall fans though, but the club seems like it’s doing well. Considering they were poor last year and somehow won the playoffs they’ve done remarkably well.

Hope we smash them on Saturday
 
Sadly for Harris and the team, their achievements will always be overshadowed by the behaviour and reputation of the fans.

Cant imagine Scudamore and the gang are relishing the idea of Millwall in the PL either. Theres literally no upside.

They've put up with small, unfashionable clubs with low crowds before; Wigan; Barnsley; Bolton, etc. But none of them brought the hassle and baggage with them. Imagine the damage to the “worldwide, global brand” when images of their knuckle draggers kicking off at Old Trafford, Anfield etc every week are beamed around the world. They cant even
market them with the “plucky underdog” card, because absolutely nobody holds any good will towards them. I could see the PL docking points for failing to control fans just to get rid of them.
 
George Saville is gonna be a star, be nice to know Lunny and Evans would be at that level in 2 or 3 years

not sure i agree with that. Look at the pantomime West Ham put on and Liverpool fans last week intimidating the City bus. However unsavory it may appear, it equates to great(er) publicity. Think the PL would welcome Millwall, rewarding the good and ignoring the bad. I was working in the States in Hull's first season and it surprised me then how much interest they'd caused being the under dog - and obviously their shit nickname. Millwall will be marketed as the ultimate old skool cockney under dog.

I take your point about no such thing as bad publicity, but West Ham and Liverpool were never going to be held to account- when have those two ever received anything other than favourable treatment from the authorities, never mind actually punished for anything?!

I think the underdog tag can work for practically any club of that size bar them; most fans of every club who’s had the misfortune to share a division with them over the years wont be wishing them any luck and the ones in the Prem will soon get sick of them. If the PL were having to come out and comment on incidents every other week, they’ll soon get fed up of it.

That being said, being London based wouldnt do them any harm in the “let them get away with it” department and you’re probably right regarding the overseas marketing- we’ll be having gangs of South Korean lads swaggering about Gangnam in Stone Island being Nawty in no time.

I can think of at least one time Liverpool didn’t get favourable treatment from the authorities.

West Ham, on the other hand, with their shiny new stadium...

All away fans are in the bottom tier this season.
The bottom tier has 2,990 seats but the safety committee have sectioned off the front 2 rows and sections near the corner flags.
So normally we give away fans 2,200 to 2,350 tickets but the Safety committee has only allowed us to give Millwall 1.539 tickets, which Millwall sold out a few days ago. They’ve requested the full 2,200+ but this has been refused and they have now appealed to the EFL, not sure when the EFL will make a decision but it needs to be soon. Sounds to me as though the SYP just want as few Millwall fans as possible, which is a shame.

Also on Saturday part of the top tier of the BLUT is being netted off and not made available for home fans.
Also home fans in that top tier won’t be allowed to leave through the normal turnstyles onto Bramall Lane.
Instead they will be forced to walk over to the corner stand and leave through the south stand exit.

I’m playing by Premier League/Sky TV rules; the incident I assume you’re referring to with Liverpool happened before August 1992, therefore never happened ;)

Well I hope they’re successful in getting the extra tickets. Just who is paying United for all those closed off seats?
What is the point in having a ground with a 33k capacity if someone outside the club is telling us we can’t use them.
I was looking at the Lane end last night and wondering just what was the purpose in closing off the front two rows of seats and what has changed in supporter behaviour if anything that fans in Sheffield aren’t allowed to sit/stand next to the pitch.
If some safety advisory group or SYP are closing these areas down then they should be expected to pay for the missing revenue.

There is always 1 team almost every year that forces it's way in as the form team. Millwall are this years gatecrashers and are capable of getting good results from their remaining games.
I don't like anything about them but you have to give credit to a great end of season run. Lets hope we can do them Saturday.

Also all soft toys should be replaced in their play pens before leaving home, pay on the day ticket holders will need to be careful to avoid paper cuts and warned not to shout “SHOOOOT” too loud incase it causes damage to the ear drums of the person in front....




SYP and SAG will enforce a “behind closed door game” either at the Lane or the Sty within two seasons. They are just itching to do it.
