Blackman keeps hold of the ball far more securely when he stops a shot. He’s a class or two above Moore.
 



Blackman, Moore, Eastwood are more than good enough as a goalkeeping squad at this level. Cardiff are going up with Neil Etheridge in net for christ sake. Moore wasn't at his best but he's won us points before (Pigs at Home as mentioned). Its perhaps stopping the goalkeeper, whoever that may be, from being called upon so often that may yield better results. I just hope we can do that whilst still playing attacking football.
 
We haven't had a decent keeper in all the time that Darren Ward has been goalkeeping coach.
 
Moore wasn't very good today. We don't seem to have a keeper who can pull off a few great saves in a match. Mindyou we need more goals from midfield. To many sideward passes today.
 
I don't want to slag any of our players off, I'm one of the few who thought we were good today (they just took their 3 chances!)
But... whatever Chelsea want for Blackman, PAY IT.
 
1st looked unstoppable to me. 2nd probably should have grabbed it. Not sure how he could be faulted for the 3rd
 
I don't know if we notice more because we have two Gks vying for No1 rather than a No1 and back up, but looking back this year there has been a far too instances where either one of our 2 GKS have royally fucked up. mistakes, sendings off. Wonder if this is down to being swapped in and out, not a dig at Wilder as these changes have been enforced.

Just seen the sky highlights and it was just as I thought watching it live.

The kid had a free shot - we had no one on the 18 yard line - that issue is down to coaching. Can't even say we got sucked into the box - No one was covering that part of the pitch from the corner - it's a school boy error.

Nothing Moore could do with the first goal.
Second goal came through players and he did well to get a firm hand on it and push it away but no one was was marking McBurnie!
Third goal, nothing he could do, Bradshaw unmarked, easy tap in.

Still........He's crap and cost us the game! Does that help? :confused:

Wilder thought Moore should have done better with the 2nd but I agree that he didn't cost us the game anymore than the outfield players who didn't convert their chances or close down their players did
 
It's a game of opinions of course, but i feel he has to do better with the second goal; which came at such a pivotal time in the contest. I don't feel he could do much with the other two but overall he is one of a number of players for us who didn't play as well as they can today.
 
Keiffer was the best Moore I saw today. Should've signed him I'm January.
 



I think both keepers are dodgy and have had good/bad spells this season. Oh for an Alan Kelly/Simon Tracey/Mel Rees. Bassett had an amazing eye for bargain shit hot keepers.

I think it's '1 more Moore' and then that's his lot.

Played well against Cardiff but I called it weeks ago. He is the reason for the dip in form from November, not Coutts.

Tend to agree. If we can't sign Jamal in the summer then we need to get a quality keeper in as a priority. Moore is a top bloke and gives his all but I think he is just decent back up at this level, sadly.
 
I like Moore, but if we want to compete in the top end of the championship. We need a better quality keeper. I think it is a priority in the summer. We need a keeper who can average more than one decent save a match. You always seem to have those games in a season where your keeper saves you vital points. Don't think that Moore is that keeper. Not sure that Blackman is that keeper either mind.

Where did I say what percentage we pay for Blackmans wages ? The relevance of our goalkeeping coach is rather obvious time and time again Moore pushes shots out to the middle of the penalty area rather than helping them out for a corner, any attacker following up a shot has an easy tap in. If we as fans can see it why can't Darren Ward, he should be coaching these mistakes out of our keepers or maybe he should be knocking on Wilder's door to tell him Moore is just not good enough.

No, it was the idiot ref. - Simpson - that denied us his services. 'Handbags' doesn't cover it but the commentator came out with the usual 'You cannot raise your hands to an opponent'. Unless you're Leicester's Harry Maguire who smashed Howard Gayle in the face last Saturday (yellow card). Of course arch fence-sitter Danny Murphy thought there was 'nothing in it'. Compare and contrast Ashley Young's potential leg-breaker in the Manchester Derby last Saturday. Yellow card.

No wonder no English ref. is going to the World Cup.
