My pet hate in the game and has been for decades.

My Dad drilled it into me to practice and use my other foot, just like I have with my son.

I don't expect any player to be genuinely two footed like a Bryson or Deane but I do expect a professional to be prepared to use his wrong foot rather than waste an opportunity.

Fleck, Sharp, and Clarke all guilty today on at least a half dozen occasions.

Just fucking hit it lads ffs

Also Bert's pet hate. It's incredible that a professional footballer can only kick with one foot. We have loads of them.

Come back Brownie and Borbokis

How many one footed players made it into the professional game ahead of the two footed Davalon?! I do agree by the way, any professional player paid over £100k a year should be shit hot with both feet. Less than that and they are probably non leaguers who were in the right place at the right time so I sympathise.

Fucking spot on.

Kevin MacDonald sinister as they come.

in passing I would mention that Keith Edwards was so ambidextrous he took corners with either foot. The thing that is starting to get me is the trap pass, trap pass mundanity of so much attacking play, when a first time ball would open up a chance because it happens in half the time.

Also, players who make the grade seem to like to dwell on the ball, so many moves break-down because they don't pass the ball at the first opportunity allowing a defender to get in the way or a teammate to run offside ... it happens again and again and again....

Geoff Salmons. Only did one thing: charge up the left wing on to a lovely long pass from TC at frightening speed nursing the ball with his one good foot before lashing over a wicked cross. Devastatingly effective.

And Woody tearing up the other wing with his one good foot. But we had TC in between them to make up the difference.

I don't mind one footed players so long as the good foot is productive.

I think that if Fleck was actually two footed he would be able to match Iniesta in the middle of the Park. He was in all the right positions today but just didn’t have the 5 seconds less to bury it, cross It or pass it that was needed, but then I guess that’s the difference between us and the premiership. 5 seconds but then that’s worth £20 milllion nowadays.

Or three quarters of the real estate in Barnsley...

May have won on the pitch but in life, from what I saw, there were no winners living there...

Add Lundstram to that list. Did great to cut into the edge of the six yard box in the first half. Clear on goal, smashes it with his left peg and ........ it goes out for a fucking throwing !

Has been one of my pet hates for as long as I can remember. And yes, my grumpy-old-man comment is usually along the lines of "they earn a bloody fortune for doing just one thing, playing football, so why aren't they practising using their weaker foot?"
I hate it when a one-footed player uses his good foot in an awkward slicing, outside the foot pass when the other foot is what's needed. (I hate it more when it works).

That team was unusually rich in wingers: Woodward, Salmons, Reece/Scullion, and Billy Dearden was a winger at Chester we converted into a centre-forward. So the first-choice forward line had the four of them, plus Currie. No wonder we were top of the league! (For a while anyway.)

Woody did have a good left foot as I can recall some of his good left footed crosses and that goal against Fulham in October 1976 almost broke the net as you can see in the video of his goals and assists

Must be hard being annoyed by almost every footballer alive, as there are few players that are two footed.
Using your other foot is a talent some have and some don't, it's like being annoyed at players for being slow.

Still can't believe how one-footed Kyle Walker is. If you watch him, he'll literally shuffle around the ball like a Subutteo figure to remain on his right foot, rather than play a casual pass with his left. Crazy. Looks so awkward

It's the only fault I can find with Fleck. He should be much more capable of and willing to use his right foot. He'd score a shitload more goals if he did.

It can be taught to use your "wrong" limb . Practice makes perfect. Just ask any boxer.

Read the OP. I'm not saying they should be two footed, I'm saying they should be willing to at least use their wrong foot rather than waste an opportunity.

It can be taught to dribble like a winger and do rocket science as well. I imagine most do practice.

But if they don't feel it's likely they will take the opportunity they are probably better off keeping possession and not risking it imo.
