Discussing if he will stay with Cardiff if they get promoted, he commented on his time at QPR and Blades
He said at Sheff Utd, we spent no money and the day after we got promoted he had a letter from the club stating they are taking up his option, at that point he lost interest before the season had started.
First time I have heard this comment from him about our time in in the Premiership, I presume he is referring to his rolling contract option, very strange thing to say

Warnock was supported by the board in the Premiership season. At no point did his position seem to be under threat. That season was frustrating, I remember us at man city who where utter shit that day, and us not going for the win. In the Premiership he is out of his depth.
Very disappointed with the man.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. I thank Neil for getting us up there and giving us a good few seasons (promotion and prem) but disappointing is right, we only needed an extra point all season and there were games where his tactical decisions were baffling

None of that reflects well on Warnock.
1. I'd like to see his definition of 'no money' and see how it compared with others at the time.
2. He had a contract for which he was paid (of course) but he couldn't be bothered to do the job properly? What an utter, utter, cunt.

Smug bastard.

He just says whatever he thinks will work for him and his image at any given time. Wouldn't be surprised if he gave an interview tomorrow for a different news outlet and said just the opposite.

He is obviously a great man motivator of average to good players and therefore one of the best Championship managers of all time but is also insincere and self obsessed. I thank him for what he did for the club but cringe whenever I hear him speak on the radio or see him on TV.

About the same as Wigan that season and about £8m more than Fulham ( the only two I've looked at).

Lost interest and whined throughout the season. Over money. What a surprise, what with him being "a Blade" and all that.

He wasn't supported by the board ,we tried to do it on the cheap. If it hadn't been for the Hulse injury and Tevez we would have done it too ,mainly due to Warnock and not the board.

An extra goal would have done. His negative tactics and poor signings cost us. I’ve said before though that in my view the Hulse injury was a defining factor and that is just bad luck.

I'd guess we spent the following:

£3m Davies
£2m Hulse
£500k Sommell
£500k Leigherwood
£200k Kazim-Richards
£2m Shelton
£1m Fathi

best part of £9m, which at the time was quite a bit by our standards.

Also taking into consideration the season before he'd spunked away £1m on Geoff Horsefield and never played him and £1m on Akinbiyi, who he sold back to Burnley for £600k early in the PL season.

Warnock has gone down in my estimations in the last week, i knew he was a self obsessed cock but this bigger Blade shite he pulls out it a fucking joke. He might have been a Blade 60 yrs ago but in my eyes Harry Bassett would receive a hero's welcome at the Lane and there would be a mutual respect, Warnock can go fuck himself.

That's the first time he's said that he lost interest before the season started.

He hadn't, he's lying.

He's after cheques from the press then, for another NW "exclusive".

It's not an accusation from anyone, he's said it himself. People quote him from his book to defend him, this is from the horses mouth.

The January window got me. Whether it was Warnock or the Board, we bought for the following season, not that season. It was almost like we were too cocky that we were staying up. Then Hulse gets injured and we realised we had no replacement.

Kilgallon.

With a sharp stick.

Have you got a link to the interview?

Sounds a bit like Wilder saying “so I’ll stop pretending we have a chance of getting in the top six, I’ll stop wasting my energy on that because clearly tonight has shown we are not good enough“

I don’t think Warnock looked like a man who wasn’t interested that season. Wherever he has said now.

So perhaps he's trying to save face then, in the hope he's kept on of they go up?

Two flaws:
  1. "Oh, we didn't stay up, 'cos I wasn't really trying. Keep me on and I'll try this time, I promise". Board: "Where's your integrity, why wouldn't you try Mr Warnock? We'll look elsewhere instead". Or;
  2. "I was just saying that, I gave it my all really". Board: "why would you lie? But still, your best wasn't good enough, we'll look elsewhere".

The point is he's said it. Which pretty much shows him for the man he is l've said before the damage was done the season before when he tried to bluff about the Pompey job that he'd been "offered" despite Mandaric categorically denying it in the media.

Could this be a threatener to Tan? Give me a big pay rise or I'll just sit on my arse and let Blackie do it.

He admitted that the Blades were the much better team on monday night though to be fair to him.

He says he wasn't so the facts don't count.

Fair enough Warnock likes to embellish the truth ,but you believe what that twat mandaric says ?
I think you are correct with the second part.
How do compare it with Wilder saying our season is over at Hull ?

Well one have them has lied several times, of that there can be no doubt. My money would be on money grubbing Warnock. Especially with the club's reaction and only taking up the option.

You were at Hull. Spur of the moment after the worst away performance since Bury under Madkins. Not years later still carrying a grudge in part down to his own failure.

At the end of the day "lost interest" is a damning indictment of the man. He should have resigned if it meant that much.
