Our Fans Are Rubbish

The red. On 88 minutes their player went down with cramp which then turned out to be an injury. Whilst getting treatment the board came up and said 5 minutes. One minute after that the game restarted and we played 4 minutes 57 seconds before the ref blew for full time and this included two times they kicked the call way.

I thought the atmosphere was ok today to be honest, I think the decision’s made around their box were baffling in the last 20 minutes.

I also hope the love in for Lee Evans stops

At home. Booing a 0-0 draw in our first season back in the Championship when we're in the top half? I'd feel betrayed if I were Wilder and Knill. Efforts to chant are futile, not many join in on the kop any more and as the for the rest of the ground? I'd rather get 14,000 and people actually try and get behind the team than just sit there and grumble at every single misplaced pass. It's almost like people can't wait for us to do poorly so they can complain.

The only thing we can do as fans to change the game is by getting behind the lads. It's 70 minutes, 0-0 and we're silent. Chants are to no avail. No-one seems arsed about trying to support Ricky in his conquest to improve the atmosphere either with the upper tier idea. It's almost as though no-one cares. Away from home, we are one of the best fans in the league but at home, it's a different story. It's our first season back in the Championship and I think our players/manager deserve far more than the library that we give them. Comes to something when we can't even get up for a game against Forest at home, irrespective of the conditions.

And we actually have the cheek to sing football in a library at away games...

Are you and large sitting with Ricky now and helping the atmosphere?

Do people not think that getting behind the team, rallying them on and chanting doesn’t help the team ? Countless managers have said we’re the 12th man, and not only managers at the Lane. Has anyone not heard away managers talking about silencing the crowd to gain an advantage? Load of wank indeed..........

Completely agree. We’re reknowned for having a noisy home ground. Forest fan in the Station was surprised how flat it was as he’d picked this one as one with a real atmosphere. It’s on its arse at the minute.

Need that safe standing section or at least Ricky’s section at the back middle of the Kop.

Things I heard today;

That Brooks is all hype and we should snatch the first decent offer we get.........

Clarke is a donkey who played well just to get a new contract and doesn’t give a toss now...........

He wouldn’t get in our pub team (After A Duffy shot flew well over the bar)........

Today wasn’t perfect but they’re are some fuckin thick ungrateful fans who ‘follow’ us

Of all the amusingly baffling criticisms that get levelled at players, the above is my favourite.

Do you think the atmosphere is good then?

I think after a disappointing home result someone comes on this site and slags the fans off we seem to be an easy target, we are no better or no worse than most home support these days. How did you think the team played i thought we were crap?

What big ears you have grandma.....

Ricky another one for you :)

Why don't all the disgruntled fans get together on the kop and just sing constantly? A few hundred going at it for ninety minutes would get others involved.
i'd love to.. 'that's ma seat.. tha' can't sit the'er..'
Ricky??

Disappointing performance under the circumstances and Blacks kept it respectable.

Not a good atmosphere but it suits some agendas to come on and deflect by blaming the fans.

25,500 home fans and those whingeing and booing probably made up less than 5%.

I thought the atmosphere at the City Ground when we played Forest in September was excellent. People slag Leeds off but when their team isn't putting in the best performance, they still chant and get behind their team. They did it on Sky when they were losing 2-0 to Bristol City at HT. They came out 2nd half lethargic, the fans got behind them and they eventually pulled it back to 2-2. Not saying that that was the only factor in their improvement but it was a contributing factor. We've had some great atmospheres at the Lane over the years and were reknown for making lots of noise at the Lane, why not use this to our advantage? If we had made some good noise towards the end of the game, it puts pressure on the Forest players and makes it difficult to play football. It's probably the reason why teams find it difficult to play football at Millwall.

Thought we played well first half but without the end product. Second half was a bit lacklustre. Decision making in the final 3rd wasn't great and Forest should have won the game. Blackman was excellent. We're still top half though and the players/manager deserve more. Considering what we've spent and where we were, it's an amazing achievement.

nothing to do with an agenda. our fans are 'average' have been for a while (since Madkins?)

Kop in the second half was the quietest I can remember for long periods, I'll put that down to us being a bit crap and if I wasn't being snowed on (in row JJ ffs) I might have made more effort to change that

I won't blame the fans for the result/performance. The support/atmosphere can impact what happens on the pitch but it's a separate subject. It's a big part of football's appeal. It's a matter of pride, representation and identity. Yet at Bramall Lane it's dead. Despite this being a good time for the club.

I think I repeat myself a lot and people ignore it. But what I'm saying is correct. Something organised IS needed. Something new IS needed. But people are waiting for everybody else to get it going for them, or are simply too stubborn or too 'cool' to give it a try.

I regret not trying something today instead of Burton. What a success it'd be if everyone who supported it made an effort....... but as if.

50 or 100 could make a lot of noise on BLUT. But it's not only about that. It's about getting the South Stand going too - H block were stood up today. There's some hope there.

If STs are made available on BLUT, the proof will be in the pudding. We'll have a perfect opportunity on a plate.

BLUT is currently associated with emptiness, free tickets and silence. But our fans can change that if they want to.

I'd like to do something on the Kop but with space/availability/acoustics factored in it doesn't really add up. It seems broken and hopeless.

Too many Pig fans have infiltrated this board.

Woooooooooooo, just fuckin woooooooooooooooo

Blades on the kop tried to suck the ball in today, few groans here and there but for 90 mins it was positive, just don't get why fans like you try to excuse a poor performance by blaming the fans.

Total bull shit.
