Don't think of the fans or owt :), Monday nights are easy to travel distances after work! Still, its only the Geordies :D

United's home encounter with recently-relegated Newcastle United has been switched for live coverage on Sky Sports.
The Blades and the Geordies were due to meet on Saturday 31st October but the encounter will now take place on Monday 2nd November with a 7.45pm kick-off.

I'll hopefully still be travelling there, even though it's on the box. I'll just have to miss sixth form on the Tuesday if I get back too late.

This is a home match... so it's the Geordies who are put out, not us.

Still, we're having to go up there and play them on a Monday night too so fair's fair.

We're at home but many of us Exiles won't be able to get back for this one now.

I booked my travel back from Swiss last week for this one as I thought that all of the TV games and fixture movements had been announced for the first couple of months.

I will now miss this one and have to watch on TV instead.

I agree... it's a pain in the arse.

Why not let the TV channels look at the fixtures before they are released to the public and make them decide what games they want until Christmas? That way, there's none of this cocking about a couple of weeks after the fixtures are announced and Sky can bloody like it or lump it.

Middlesbrough on the first day of the season is going to be a long journey northwards after work and due to the lack of hotels, a long journey back too.

Only the Geordies - and those of us who don't live in Sheffield. :( Monday is the most annoying date to switch to - any time on Sat/sun I can cope with, and even friday night is better as it's the end of the week and I can stay over and do something in Sheff on the saturday....but can't see me managing to get up to this, and it's one of the biggest games.

If we end up with many monday games, I'll probably not get an ST another year.

As an exile, I guess I have to be happy when any game is on TV as it adds to the possibility of seeing my team, but not having it fixed up before the schedule is announced makes booking advanced plane tickets a gamble. The further you travel the more cash down the toilet.

With international breaks, I've counted six free Saturdays before Christmas.
