Readings No 38 had a great game last night, was a real handful and had a great range of passing. Popped up everywhere and for a small lad took some getting off the ball.

If they were ever going to get back in the game he would have been involved.

Decent midfielder and I wouldn't say no to us signing him.

Said that in another thread. Very impressive performance and he single handedly dragged them back into the game at the start of the second half.

He was their best player but he looks about 14. He went over very easily for the free kick that they got their goal from as well but don't they all.

Looked a good player from watching the stream. A good age at 21, we seem to pick the best players from League one, and Reading look that way!

In and out of the team. On contract until 2020. 49 first team games, 3 goals.

Is he better than Reed? Doubt it.

We’ve comprehensively done the double over a very mediocre at best Reading side who are in a relegation battle and we need to be signing Reading players? I wouldn’t be rushing to sign any of their players, they don’t look like they have an attitude to succeed under a manager like Wilder or the talent for a club like ours whose ambitions are to be in the Prem some time in the near future.

The next signings for me is in defence - 2 out of the 3 need serious competition or they themselves become competition to who is brought in - in the summer.

Hey Fulwood we've got 3 ageing strikers plus 2 who may never revive their careers plus 1 on loan who needs to do a lot more to stay.

Any budget on 2 strikers I'd say and 2 out.

Agree we dont need midfielders.

Reed who’s doing a reasonable job at bottom of the fourth division Chesterfield?

Correction: he was class for the last 20 minutes of the game at the Lane when we were sitting deep defending a lead
Was he the one who only came on for the last 25 minutes though?:)

That post has about as much relevance as playing for Luton would have had. Maybe much less experience at Luton in fact.
Not if you’re desperately waiting to be proved right about Reed, no.

Being bang average in the fourth division is entirely relevant, for those viewing it objectively.

If you say so. I'd hope to be a bit bigger than that.

Read reports though. He is not playing 'bang average', far from it.

Was he the gangly one who ran about a lot but looked like he’d never got the ball under control?

No, he was the one that looked like a good player when he came on as substitute. But he didn't play the whole game and came on when we were sitting back and conceding possession
