Maybe the message Tufty gave out wasn't for us or the Team ........

Certainly Princey would have been watching the TV Transmission

Could have been a message for him, were shit, we have fucked it, don't bother buying the Club ..........

“I’m not bothered what I see to be honest. I don’t give two whatsits. I’m not bothered if they show a reaction. That game (Hull) hurt me. I’m not being a spoilt kid but I thought we were loads better than what we showed there. So I don’t care what they show. I don’t care if there’s a reaction."

Really?

Clearly a very good manager, back to back promotions don't just happen but this to me is all a little bit childish.

I don't think it's reverse psychology or anything like that (if it is it's not a very good attempt), I don't think he's got it in him, I think he just speaks exactly how he feels which isn't always a good thing.

And for good measure I don't think for one minute the players are listening to interviews and reading articles as that's what fans do.

However we are still 8th in the league with plenty to play for. I think that Wilder needs to do what he does best and get managing. He brought the players in so he needs to get them playing again that is what he is paid for.

“So ask them why they didn’t show it. I don’t have an answer."

Let's hope he does have an answer. Roll on Tuesday.

For me his comments are basically the same as when you used to do something stupid as a kid.

Your mum turns to you and says "I'm not upset, I'm just disappointed."

Which is ten times worse.

I'm pretty sure that they do. They love the game so I'd be amazed if they didn't listen to his reactions or what he has to say about them no matter what the result/performance.

:) - got to agree he wont be tuned into Emley Moor ... or Sky Satellite ...... but it will be transmitted to his TV by some means :p

If thats what you are getting at

Saudi five hours ahead of us? I reckon he may have been in the land of nod by the time the interview went out.

Wilder will never give up on promotion while it's still possible. Friday was a kick up the backside/prove me wrong call to arms for the players. Yes maybe he was a little too emotional, but the players will have got the message loud and clear.

I expect a response from the players. The likes of Billy Sharp, John Fleck Chris Basham, JOC are proud lads and will want to get us back on track.

I'm not a great fan of The Star but also not a great fan of the stick Danny04 gets on here

No stick intended from me, just an exchange of different opinions.

I quite like some of Danny's work and have congratulated him on it in the past.

watched his tv interview, after the game and his first veiled commment was good luck to hull they out fought us in the game ,wanted it more
what he wanted to say was them dumbells have let this pile of shit hull side look energetic due to us not getting stuck in
idle bastards didnt move, didnt offer themselves to play out, didnt overlap, didnt close down , didnt tackle, didnt pass, didnt get tight enough and wasted free kicks and corners , and lost every indiviual battle . everything in the training manual went out the window

It's usually the Manager losing the dressing room, not the dressing room losing the Manager...Don't know what to expect at Reading...hopefully a big reaction and 3 points, and Chris becomes interested again.

I agree but he's on good money, in fact regardless of money we shouldn't have to 'hope' he becomes interested. He sounded well pissed off with everything on the Radio Sheffield interview.

Can you imagine the stick a player would get if sounded as disinterested as Wilder.

I can't imagine any of our players trying it on with Wilder...We haven't got any Forestifairy types..they'd soon get binned off...Chris would drive them there his self.

I'm just a little worried it's something deeper that's pissed him off, I don't think it was very professional of him to say he's given up.

Has a deal been agreed for Brooks???

Has he been approached by a premiership club???

Just seems very strange to me given our position in the league, and not just one or two of the players having a bad game but most, no running, can't make a pass or get to the second ball.

Hope I'm reading too much into this but I've watched them too long.

Wilder is still hurting from that no show Friday night, after the weekend results it will hurt even more as a great oportunity to get back into top six was thrown away, with a chance of going six clear with a win tomorrow night. It still bugs me greatly, just imagine how he's feeling right now being manager and a big blade.Hopefully the players are hurting too and take that out of Reading tomorrow.Wilder knows as well as we do that a great opportunity was passed up will we get another chance at it ? Wilder as left it to the players to answer that one

He felt exactly the same as every manager at every level of football does when their team loses a game where they don't seem to have 'turned up'.
usually makes you think, 'why do I bother' and then you turn up next weekend and go through it all again

I could completely understand his reaction following Friday nights inept display. It was without doubt the worse team performance of his time as manager. It must have hurt like hell to see players that he nurtures and trust go out and play like that.
However, he is still the manager of SUFC and has a duty to do his best to give the team a chance of success. His interview today has left me questioning his professionalism. He says that he didn't even follow the results on Saturdays games! I'm sorry Chris, but given that we still have a chance of achieving the playoffs, then not only should you be taking an interest in the games, you had an opportunity to take in a game at Reading, or at Burton on Saturday to check out our opponents in the next couple of games. Not be sulking at home.

We love the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve, is his own man and says what he thinks. When things are hunky dory that is...

He's not hurting that much as he was on the ale in Maggy Mays on Sunday afternoon at at some bash. And no I wasn't there.

And by the way.....not that he nor the players shouldn't have the odd drink, it's just that I think this hurting and teddy out of the cot can be taken a little far. He's done wonders with the team which makes it all the more inexplicable that he is reacting like he is?

Absolutely Dn.....I was more thinking of the stick a player would get on here.

Maybe there's something we don't know? Player wise.

Do yer know Sean, I was thinking similar, maybe something behind the scenes. I think that was very telling 'I don't know which way this club is going' or whatever. It suggests to me he hasn't been given any reassurances re the new owners, the Prince of Bog Rolls or whoever he brings in.

Or maybe we (I) are simply ovethinking it. It could be that although an excellent manager he is a bit of a mard arse too (I certainly have my moments).

Who knows......He certainly can't hide his feeling, which can be a double edged sword. Time will tell.

I think the interview with Billy shone a bit more light on things, IMO we ARE over thinking it because we were hurt by the loss as well.

Billy said players were smiling in training & even had a smile himself when he spoke about other teams slipping up.

Maybe I'm wrong but I still think CW believes in this set of players & will get a positive reaction tonight. (I hope)
