There are a lot of, in my opinion, very un realistic critics posting tonight.
People have seemingly very quickly forgotten the complete heap of shite that Wilder walked into when he took the job a BDTBL. In just over 18 months he has given us our team and our pride back.
All this with little or no money picking up players from the lower leagues
Yes, today Wolves look miles better but they have two players who have played Champions League football and several others who have played at a higher level.
In August if we had been offered being in or around the play offs at this stage of the season we would have been delighted
Tonight will not shape our season they are simply champions in waiting
Try and remember where we were and that now we are a ‘decent ‘ championship side.
The Wilder revolution will move on, he needs time and yes a bit more money but please people just try and remember where we have come from

All true. As is the fact that we were top of the league at one point, and we’re now 22 points behind, in eighth place and heading south. I think it’s ok for people to be disappointed that we’ve not been able to keep it up. Doesn’t mean anyone’s ignoring the loss of Coutts or that we’re badly off financially relative to a lot of our competition, but I don’t see a problem with recognising we haven’t played very well for the last ten or so games.

Irrelevant to a degree but I get the sentiment. The pace of our play has dropped against all opponents recently. A kid from Real doesn't have any impact on Duffy being dropped, or Basham getting a badge of infallibility where others are dropped without explanation. Of course Wolves have an almost unfairly good team, but I'm seeing issues with our selection, formation and execution of play that have little to do with the quality of the opposition. It's ok to criticise Wilder if it's evident there are mistakes being made.

First half against Villa it was one touch passes and we opened them up a couple of times. Tonight it was back to the usual waiting for the entire Wolves team to track back while we decide who we are going to pass to.

No gripe but undone in first 25 minutes tactically .Wolves are a class team.We huff & puff but tbh if we got to prem via play offs it would be horrible for us next year .
I think we need a few years in championship to strengthen the team .

A lot of that is down to Wolves shape though isn’t it...they shut off a lot of our options with a high work rate and good shape.

Thought Holmes did well to break that shape,down by bursting past his man a few times but until Brooks comes back and Duffy starts again we’re short on players who can make that space.

Partly down to Wolves shape but we didn't exactly do much to counter attack them and open up some space. Probably because we have zero pace in the squad.

Have people not noticed how teams are setting differently against us? When did you last see Basham and JOC overlapping for instance.

Wolves allowed us the ball in the middle third at times but we had nowhere to go with it. Then when they hit us on the break their superior class showed.

More and more teams are sitting deeper and not allowing us the same space.

That more than of our own personnel issues is the key factor for me.

I meant in the last 14 games. We've rarely been outclassed but we've retreated into ourselves, and I have to say Wilders made some tactical and selection errors. In my view of course.
