He may have being the ugliest man in the world and not the best manager we've ever had! But, at least he did design a decent badge unlike Leeds having apparently consulted with 10,000 Leeds fansI! Ha ha! Oh dear!

I really don't like it when club chairman come in and decide to change the clubs badge, because they prefer another design and then usually make a mess of it like above and our nearest neghbours!

yes, I'm sure this has been addressed in the "Old Photos for no Reason Whatsoever" thread (but its a longer story than the new testament so good luck finding it), with a photo of our squad with the current badge on their blazers back in the 1940s or 50s .... it predates Jimmy Sirrell by 30 odd years.

Thought it was Jimmy Hagan who designed our club crest?

This from the Dirties would have looked good in 1930s Germany

Ah right, always thought it was Sirrel. Can't find anything on the net either way, but I see you're not the only one saying Hagan designed it so you're probably right.

Oh fucking DEAR.

Is that badge real?!

Yes but probably - sadly - not for long! See link!

As one Leeds fan said, it looks like something off Pro Evo! I've noticed over the years that Leeds fans have a similarity with Wednesday fans in that both have an inflated opinion of how good their fans are and how big their club is and how apparently the salute with the fist is now a symbol for Leeds! They're welcome to it!

Good God this is brilliant.

For me the badge is not about your club - the shirt does that - the badge should place the club in its social location. Hence ours is perfect - a Yorkshire rose and a symbol of our working class heritage in steel, also matching our nickname.

Leeds similarly should have the rose and a symbol of the textile industry such as a power loom. What they have got is something designed by trendies responding to reactions from 14 year old kids.

Football clubs that lose their history become businesses with an associated football team.

Tin hat on, but I wouldn't mind a badge change for ourselves. I'd whip up what I have in mind but I'm not very good with Illustrator and the like.

Not that there's owt wrong with ours!

I’m sure Mussolini would have approved. I also seem to remember some sort of aliens on Star Trek making a salute similar to that.

Think the history around our badge was Hagan & Sirrell had gone out for a heavy Sunday afternoon session darn ‘Cliffe after coming out of the seeing the strippers in the Dog & Partridge and coming out blindo ,they decided they needed sustenance so across the road to the Indus knowing that the ‘Slamma wasn’t licenced .
At this point while waiting for his Chicken Bhuna & Pilau ,Hagan noticed a crossed Blades emblem on his bottle of Cobra here is the original picture taken with his pin hole camera & digitally enhanced using the latest technology

Correct, Jimmy Hagan decided the club blazer needed a club badge and designed something for that. Later when Sheffield Council put the copyright on the coat of arms and we needed a new badge they used the Hagan design as the basis for the new one.

I didn't say I want to; I said I wouldn't mind. But only if it was the design I have in mind ;)

Is 27 young?! I don't feel it!

Leeds United change their badge like most of us change our underpants ..... what about this gem from the 1960s (I was completely confused by who the Owls were as a little kid because of this)
