Squad numbers were introduced in the Premier League in the 93/94 season and the Football League in the 99/00. This means the blades have played 20 season with squad numbers. So, who has worn Ryan Leonard's number 14 before him?

14 hasn't actually been such a bad number for us as you can see by the players that have worn it:

What's the most dissatisfying current squad number of ours for all those squad number saddos? For me it's Brooks being 36. That's just wrong, it's not ethical. Coutts 15 is bollocks, Stearman 19 is disappointing, and what the hell's 32 all about with Evans.... And did we give Thomas 8 to trick him into signing for us over Boro?

Looks like Manbun will take 16. Not a great number for Manbun but it could be worse. He'll just have to wait and hope he can claim 11 from Donaldson next season...

It was supposed to be John Reed's number as he chose it during the summer but when Flo joined us just after the start of the season the number was allocated to him
