Imagine if we were waking up to that scoreline. Imagine the recriminations and the grief we'd be getting from the piggies and our friends and work colleagues ?
THAT is why Wilder wasn't more adventurous with his substitutions. It's ok against Bristol City, but not against our neighbours, and totally understandable to me.
We have the bragging rights still, but it could have been very different.

Be careful pal, some on here will be accusing you of being bipolar if you're not careful.

As for me, it's not as if we lost, we simply didn't play to our potential, it's not as if this has become an ingrained response to other teams.

Bang on the money BM

Fully agree, it would have been a long time until I could have enjoyed the bouncing day video again if we had lost last night.

Whereas I’m going to watch it again now.. :)

I could barely watch when they were having a go at the end. Screaming at the TV when Wallace was shown inside onto his left to have a shot, then I nearly caved in when I saw Reach's shot going towards the net. Incredible save by Moore that but I was amazed the ref didn't stop the game with Moore clearly in agony. Fair play to him for getting himself up and reacting like that.

It could have ended badly last night, but I am content with things today. Just looking at the table shows me who the best team in Sheffield is.

But they played a reserves side, so surely they get a 1 goal handicap and that WAS the score?!

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm bi-polar
And so am I...

Which is in fact, true. I also suffer from severe clinical depression, am on the high functioning autism scale and have acute OCD.

Given the world we live in it probably provides some balance I'd have thought......I know quite a few people that might be described as 'different', but when we chat I feel they're blessed not having the burden of supposed normality as their everyday compass.

He should have done it against Bristol too. But hopefully he’s learned now not to go all out chasing a game when your opponents look dangerous on the break as Wednesday did last night.

I think the best team wono_O

Agreed. I was terrified when they got a corner at the end. I could envision Nuhiu nutting it into the top corner, and all the despondant misery that would follow.

Don't be daft...he looked like the most useless shittest excuse for a footballer I think I've seen in years. I was thrilled he was on the pitch. Even more thrilled they signed him and not us.

To be honest after Fleck got sent off against Bristol City I wish our approach and substitutions had been more conservative. We would probably have come away with a point instead of nothing.

True but...any lurking Wendyite will copy and paste just the thread title and they can post it on Porktalk and pretend they did win. Delusional cunts.

Fuck em G , I have no time or respect for those delusional cunts I’ve seen kids smashed out of there head on Spice with more comprehension of reality than some of the S6 , you’d think they’d got a point they needed for promotion last night

Tbh, I didn't think it was OK against Bristol City either. I've got no problem with not gambling last night. Even with ten men they almost nicked it.

Highly unlikely, they’ve won once at the Lane in 50 years.

No wonder their wild celebrations at 0-0, what a performance they must be so proud what with 19 points from their last 20 games.

Agreed. Derby wins are great but the most important thing is not to lose. And having stuffed them at the sty a draw is even more acceptable.

I agree that Chris seems to have learned a lesson with regards not sacrificing a point in the pursuit of 3, but I still think that conservative changes could have been made just to introduce some new problems for Wednesday to deal with. Especially given the advantage in terms on numbers we had and the fact that we weren’t creating chances on a regular basis despite having this advantage.

So keep the formation and try other personnel?

I am surprised he didn’t do this based on how he has approached games in his time here so far.

Me too. In my mind I could just see their end erupting and wanted the final whistle and a point.
I was waiting for it too, the sucker punch. It was torturous watching last night, didn't enjoy it at all. I don't know why the pigs are so happy, they set up like we were Man City but they're the ones with the expensive squad. They had their 'reserve team' out which included their captain and their £10m striker.

Totally disagree, you're accusing Wilder of bottling it just because it was a derby. He's always said we will always try and win and ain't the sort to bottle it.

Agreed, but he didn't have to play football at that point - just head a corner into the net to cause us untold misery ;)

They were poor. Well organsied but poor and yet they've had the better of the chances, and looked like snatching it late on. Arguing 0-0 is a good result because it could've been 0-1, is like arguing the relative merits of terminal cancer over aids.

Wilder's arse twitched in the 1st half when wednesday broke from one half of the pitch to the other in about four passes and wallace shot wide. 5 on 3? He wasn't going to throw men forward after that. The one player who did come on touched the ball twice. They were as comfortable with 10 as they were with 11. Let's not fool ourselves.

Not sure if the last 0-0 derby was April 1971 at their place (Easter Monday).

I'd accept the same league place come the end of the season.
