Well done BBC

What gets me is they showed almost as much of us coming out on to the pitch as they did of the match.

There's a 3 minute highlight package on our YouTube and I challenge anyone to say that it's worse than the nil nils that they showed.

Potential scalps!!
As much as I disliked last night's wait for our goal, for some people it's there only outlet to watch footie .
Iptv.
It's the future.

It's the first time man yoo haven't been picked in 76543999 games

Potential for an upset. With the benefits of hindsight both matches weren't great, but I would rather watch them than an all Premier League tie, say Man City v Burnley. I think it is fair to say that, outside of Ipswich and Sheffield, there was little interest in our game.

True, although I fancy Anfield. The increased capacity means L'pool will have to hand all the Anfield Road end over, just like they had to for Everton.

We'd sell the lot just like Man U a bit back

True.
I was very fortunate that day at old Trafford to be part of the prawn sandwich brigade to see Dean Hammond play a blinder.
Shiver.

Was the Leeds match on BBC, in my paper it said BBC Wales, if it's wrong I'm off to the newsagents to cancel.;)
If you have a sky box you can get bbc wales. You just need ro scroll through the channels ( in the 900s I think)

Coventry vs Stoke could’ve easily been a televised game.

League 2 vs The Premier, potential upset and a bit of rivalry chucked in for good measure.

And it could have been a nil nil bore draw. I'm glad we have had a Manchester /North London/Chelski free weekend for a change.

Eh? Arsenal are on telly now, Chelsea were on yesterday teatime, and Coventry or Stoke are from none of the areas you mentioned other than that I completely agree. :)

I have no issues with any of the fixtures picked but the Coventry v Stoke game has more pulling power than a Norwich v Chelsea game or a Shrewsbury v West Ham game imo.

They aren't on for those of us who don't have BT Sport :)

I don’t have it either but I was talking TV in general and when the thread is about the BBC I suppose it rather mutes my point, fair enough, I’ll take it. :)

Yeah, we had 12 seconds highlights of a reserve Champ side vs a reserve Champ side match.......so feckin what? Would anyone really have chosen our fixture over others? No, didn't think so, but hey, if it makes you believe that people are biased against the Blades, then go for it. FFS

Reason why they chose Fleetwood v. Leicester is the Jamie Vardy link, romance of the cup. He ended up not playing.

As we are discussing the BBC - after the last Steel City derby Football Focus (screened on a Saturday) made a committment that they would do a feature on the January match.

Be interested to see how they will feature / preview the game that is now being played the day before.

Felt sure this thread was going to be about "top boys" writhing successfully with their counterparts.

We filled anfield road in 2003 under Warnock.

Re the OP. Beeb bashing is very easy, isn't it. And yet they are the only UK broadcaster who are required to try to please all the people all the time. A somewhat tricky remit I'm sure you'll agree. And don't forget the FA have guidelines about which types of games should be played which have to be taken into consideration (as part of the rights agreement). Couple this with the government's requirement that the BBC should be less London centric, the need for the romance of the cup to be perpetuated, and viewing figures to be maximised (along with fans needs for the BBC to be psychic) and I'm sure you'll agree it's a somewhat difficult job.

Perhaps Bladesthorpe you'd now like to make your choices for the next rounds televised matches and we can critique them?
