There isn’t a going rate. The nonsensical proposition is that we should pay more than we think a player is worth and more than any club on Earth thinks he’s worth, simply to appease self-entitled ‘fans’. The latter isn’t tenacious at all. It’s profligate. We have made the highest offer for Leonard. No other club has offered more. The proposition is that we should simply pay what RugRon demands even if it exceeds our value of the player. That’s the very opposite of tenacity. Your view is based on a non-existent premise and the ease of dealing with other people’s money.

His sophistry when Lenny did indeed put in a transfer request but was persuaded by Ron to withdraw it, was unctuous and unworthy. I suspect he’s hand in glove with “senior sources” and does as he’s told. Not quite Woodward and Bernstein, is he?

However, I do like a goal montage and this boy can hit a ball. Having the confidence to do it a league higher with less time on the ball is a different matter. What is crucial is whether he has the fitness to play our way, and the ability on the ball to knock it about at pace and retain possession under pressure.

If he can do all those things then winner.....although it’s nagging me somewhat that he’s hasn’t been picked up by someone else earlier if he ticks all those boxes. However, I suspect that he’s a player which Wilder sees as a work In progress like Lundstram.

If a person has been banned they are not allowed to open another account

If you were found to have done so you would be instantly banned
