We don 't have a transport problem tomorrow - but is there anyway of finding out whether the "Steel Wall" will be up to separate the fans?

It will influence the collection point at the end of the game for our transport pick-up.

Is that what it's called? I've always called it the idiot barrier, not because it stops idiots, but because whoever thinks it helps safety is a bloody idiot as it causes congestion in other areas around the ground. It's difficult for them to use with the upper tier full as Blades fans are exiting all around the away fans anyway.

I don't see why they'd need to keep them apart, it didn't happen up at their place. I walked past hordes of home fans to get to the coach and there was no bother at all.

To be fair they banged a wall up against Charlton and that did an excellent job stopping post match conversations with Addicks fans escalating quickly into friendly banter.

if the steel barriers are going to be up, then they are normally in the SS car park the day before.

For some games the rozzers would just use 2 or 3 police vans outside the main SS exit gangway anyway, so no one really knows until they come out after the game.

Think we had vans for the dingles game - might be wrong on the game but they have been used a few times.
