Bolton signed Djorkaeff (if names were allowed in Scrabble that would be a high scorer!) from Kaiserslautern just before his 34th birthday. One of those players who didn't rely on pace so his age wasn't a problem.

In a strange quirk, Kaiserslautern now find themselves rock bottom of the 2. Bundesliga; much like Bolton in the Championship until their recent upturn in form.
