I'm guessing Lyle Taylor rightly sees Nigel Clough as a popular figure within the media and football with probably the most famous surname in the game. LT is still young and trying to make his way in the game, he probably doesn't want to jeopardize his career by calling out a bloke like this who has a lot of friends in the game. I imagine he'll be saving it for his autobiography when he can say these things without fear of it affecting his playing career. It's sad that he can't come out and say this, but while people like you are criticizing this, you must surely be aware that you're also the reason he can't.

The parallels between this and the ongoing sexual harrassment cases is scary.

agree .. the fact if the matter is that we had hardly any black players and he fell out with players on a regular basis .. his football was negative and curmudgeonly.. like him

edit and we never actually signed chris o Grady..he wouldnt come.. what happened to him?

Well to be fair, when you told me you'd stocked up on Lemon and Mayonnaise, I did start to question your motives a tad.

If it makes you feel better, and we can retrieve something from the devastation my news has no doubt caused you...............Connor Sammon is, and forever more will be, a fuck fish.

Pinchy takes the piss becasue of all the Juve hype. Apparently he was 'so good' that Juventus were waiting in the wings to sign him, hence all the Italian superstar jibes.

If COG 'never actually signed', how come he managed 4 appearances and one goal?

The parallels between the sexual harassment cases and this are pretty simple. It's taken about 40 years for women to be able to come out and accuse men of what they've done, mainly because the general public (usually men) instantly dismiss it as lies and try to discredit them. I'm not sure why really. If a woman came forward and said she'd had her purse nicked, blokes wouldn't react in any where near the same way. I'm NOT saying Clough is a racist or wanting to provide any evidence towards that. My only point was that it didn't sit right with me that at a hint of a player saying 'I wanted out of the club because the manager was an open racist', everyone's taking the piss out of him and trying to discredit him by saying what a shit player he was for us. Yes, agreed he was shite but if he was indeed going through that, then that could be a reason for it.

I also despise the 'Professionally Offended Brigade' and think the PC boundries of what people can and can't say are full of contractions and hypocrisy. I do despise racism though and to live in a world where people like Lyle Taylor can't feel safe and comfortable to come out and blow the whistle on racism because the general football fan derides him for it isn't ideal is it. We've come so far in with kicking racism out the game but obviously there's still a bit more work to do.

I'll say again.. He might not be lying.
