Just read that Roy the desperation for our "bus driver" to leave to another club is embarrassing! What do they expect him to say? Of course he will keep his powder dry you never know what may happen but I don't expect him to be going anywhere soon.

I'm surprised some of their fans aren't telling them how desperate they are making their fanbase sound

I think it’s a hard question to answer. On one hand he’s got to keep everyone happy at the club, other he has to keep the owners aware that he’s not here for free and is not a mug.

Personally I thought his comment about being happy, ambitious and wants to manage this club in the premier league said everything I needed to keep me happy
Absolutely - thinking that Wilder could depart should the board not back him (if required) will keep McCabe & Co on their toes.

Fairly noncommittal on if he'd ever leave for another club. Would rather have heard him say, "I'll never leave unless United no longer want me as I can see myself achieving all my ambitions with the Blades"

As just said in the Shoutbox, he gave a coded answer. He's ambitious and expects the board to be the same. If they aren't, he'll go to a club that is, I would too.

On Porktalk, they've decided his refusal to commit himself must mean he's on his way, but they are intellectually challenged, by definition and indulging in wishful thinking.

I really liked his last comment "how can you not enjoy being a Blade at the moment?" Absolutely, it's never been better.

The simple fact is that the only way owls fans can see us slipping is if the 'Bus Driver' leaves us for a premier club. It's desperation stakes, and high praise at the same time.

He stated more than once about wanting to manage at the top flight, but also by getting US there.
He also said he is ambitious and he hopes the club remains so as well.

Give him what he needs to progress with us and there's no issue.
That's the key issue. He's telling the board match my ambition or I might br off. Let's hope January is the best transfer window ever, we may only get one shot at this under Wilder

Don’t forget racist Ron walked out on the Pigs about 48 hours after declaring it the best job in football in summer 92.

So; the only people that can possibly derail the mighty upwardly mobile juggernaut that is Sheffield United now are McCabe & Co?:eek::(

Ooh Shit!

Worryingly Mcabe has form for this sort of thing.

Then again Wilder has always maintained he won’t see us screwed financially.

Sounds like a rock and a hard place scenario.

If the recent interview with Prince Abdullah is anything to go by, I think there is a recognition that the club can't go backwards having come this far. I think the resources will be in place to keep us competitive because they have to be.

I got the impression he was making it clear there that he is ambitious and wants the club to match his ambition. I think it's the right way to play it. There's an answer for the fans and there's one for the board.

Wednesday fans have concluded that he's leaving. They really are surpassing themselves this season. I think they're slowly going mad

At least ours might be leaving because he's fucking amazing, not because he's fucking wank haha

The mental gymnastics to get "I'm going to Burnley" from ”as long as the club share my ambitions I'm more than happy at this football club" is Olympic gold medal worthy.

With Butler as no 2.....

mccabe gave warnock money , warnock blew it on shit buys
wilder wont ask for too much , no problems ahead for me as wilder wont be asking for the world
and McCabe and co can see the riches of the prem on the near horizon
Its worth a little flutter

Never read my text out about Spice gate....Grrrr...
Only wanted to know if it was a wine gum or fruit pastille

Yeah not saying that McCabe definitely would get all frugal, but the chances of him being like that increase if Wilder said he'd never leave....or something

"Whenever their has been interest in Carlos he has shot it down and said things like not interested in money, happy here, speculation etc all the things you wana hear.

Chris Wilder didnt sound convincing and people bang on about his passion and kissing the badge and all that.

We are lucky to have Carlos believe me."

lmao, I reckon we are also lucky you have Carlos :D
