I hope you enjoyed your goal last night at Valley Parade, as another season passes..

Just think though, you could be looking forward to tonight's match against Wolves, after taking part in the best game of your career on Sunday.

Perhaps, sometimes, the football should come before other factors.

Mind you, if your agent/ Dad/ Mum/ girlfriend/ priest had allowed you to come to take part in the Wilder revolution, then perhaps Brooksy's school boy looks wouldn't already be plastered over every Bladettes bedroom wall....

And that goes for all the others stuck at motorway services and rail stations on deadline day. You could have been one of us...

I thought everyone but the club did everything to make the deal happen, including his dad, mum, girlfriend etc

That may be the case. But where there's a will there's a way.

I'd have walked from Fleetwood bare footed to play up front for the Blades.

I was wondering why the OP Canterbury Blade was writing to either:

a) Levante UD - Spanish football team

b) The Levant - An area of the Middle East including Syria, Northern Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, a bit of Egypt and Northern Saudi

Writing to these would be bizarre, however, even more bizarrely its a barbed open letter to a Fleetwood player...

Andy Cole wanted him to come here?

It would have been far more relevant if the thread title said......"Dear Ricky Holmes"...

That said, if we had have signed him, Brooks almost certainly wouldn't be getting his chance.

If our current form continues we will be fighting them off with a shitty stick in January. In fact cole would probably change his name to Levante to seal the deal.

The ball was literally never in his court. It wasn’t his fault at all.

Infact his reaction on social media afterwards said it all. Just two angry face emojis. He was gutted and that seems to be fuelling his fire to keep scoring till January.

Sorry, who the hell are you on about?

There's always one knocking about isn't there.

Two assists and a goal for young Levante last night, in addition to a brilliant volley he scored last week.

He's done nothing to dull our interest so far, that's for sure. As it stands we'll be going back in for him I think. Shame the price might treble.

That would have been pointless, because Fleetwood changed their asking price, and we didn't agree to it.
aah but he would've already been 'over the Pennines' and we know at that point the deal has been sealed.

Isn't he out of contract in the summer I thought?

Not two angry face emojis!!! He must've been doubly fuming!
