Pigs salivating over Brookes

Green eyed monsters.....still struggle to give praise to United.

Seems to me, they are crediting Man City....despite his release over two years ago. And suggesting their talent is as good and just doesn’t get the same chance Brooks gets.....because of all their superb players.

The irony....

Listened to wilder after the game and couldn't help but be impressed how he spoke. He with passion, excitement and a will to win. He spoke about character and players standing up and being counted. He sounded like he loved his job and he couldn't wait for the next game.

When he looked at players to buy, he looked for attitude and team spirit and everyone being together to achieve one goal.

If I wasn't driving I would have stood up and applauded.

Then Carlos come on the radio. I couldn't understand what he was saying or trying to say. He spoke with 100 words when 10 would do. I switched off and I still don't get the gist of what he was trying to say.

It wasn't just that, it was everything about it. Talking about the way the game should be played. Protecting players, making sure Clarke was protecting his partner and talking him through his biggest game. About how he doesn't buy players because of their names, and because they cost £10 million. But ensures they will add something to the team.

Compare that to Carlos and he does the exact opposite. He buys players because he thinks he should, no plan how to play them. No nurturing of players. Decent players, who cost lots of money are just sidelined, not played. Players confidence is ripped apart. Rhodes was bought even though our game doesn't suit him.

One manager is picked players, a style of play and spirit / attitude to keep them in the Championship. The other isn't.

One style worked today and will probably do the job long term it set out to do.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cos he (Dean Smith) aint carlos mate, thats how it works on here, any bugger will do,some dufus even suggested Redknapp for crying out loud.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One who has drive and ambition for a team he cares about. The other meh

All from porktalk

One mate who I was discussing Brooks/Hirst with around two weeks ago said that they wouldn't play Hirst as they have to get out of the Division this year or they have serious financial problems due to FFP, plus he isn't better than about 5 or 6 players. He also says that the issue over a new contract etc is causing problems.

Another mate said that Brooks was supposed to be good but he didn't realise how good that was until he saw him today - how can that boy not have a future with England. He thinks England will be missing a real trick.

'If he was on our books, he would have been nowhere near first team, nevermind starting such a huge game.'

Find this hilarious seeing as he ran the show, tore them a new arsehole and they simply couldn't deal with him, yet of course wouldn't get 'nowhere near first team'!!
I have a feeling they are criticising themselves for missing this kind of talent

England's loss is Wales's gain. If he maintains the level of performance we've seen so far I'd expect Coleman will make the call before the season's out. Ethan Ampadu was on the bench for the last qualifiers after all.

I haven't read the thread so don't know the context of that quote, but there have been numerous of their fans on various radio stations saying that youngsters such as Hirst don't get near the first team and one on Talksport after the presenters had been praising Brooks and Wilder for playing him did ring up and mention that Brooks would still be in their reserves if he played for them.

Another example of poor judgement by wendies everywhere.

Any chance to find an excuse for a young lad demonstrating that thing called talent. He may have been at Man City, but we made him the player he is. Just too good, not something you should struggle with, but aren't they being disingenuous to play down the quality they witnessed today??? Brooks is better than your bunch of losers, if you doubt it watch the video over and over.

That's not the way I read that post. The point being made is that Carlos wouldn't have dared play a youngster like Brooks i.e. Hirst. The post is having a pop at Carlos, not us.

Pinchy will be over there soon cross at them for suggesting he will be sold soon.

It just sums up those charmless, graceless bastards. They've had a few years to put clear blue water between us and them, but have blown it. It's no good saying 'Carlos out!' without a realistic suggestion of who could replace him. Most managers are fucking useless but we've been blessed that - having employed a few idiots - we've found our Jurgen Klopp. Wilder speaks the same language as us and chimes with the ethos of our great club. It also helps that we've developed a player (and it's BROOKS) who genuinely excites. I was at Currie's debut back in 1968 and DB has the same effect. No so much a Deano, more a Dele Alli type of player. Oh, he'll get sold (as will Alli) but the fortune we'll get will take us to the next level. Wendy?

The times they are a-changing.:)

ge that this was just 3 more points, admittedly against

I know this may take the breath away of some posters on here, but I think Wilder could go on to be as good, if not better than someone like Klopp. Klopp has all the advantages, Wilder's having to build on small change, and what a job he's doing with the little he's had!

Once the dust has settled we'll acknowledge that this was just another 3 points, admittedly against that lot, but we gave 'em a lesson in how to win, but I doubt they'll have learnt anything as their fans are a perfect example of what it takes to over-inflate your worth while underestimating your opponents. Apparently Carlos admitted he hadn't watched the Blades, leaving it down to the players to do his job. That man should be pig-whipped (whatever that is!) and be paid off in the millions, after all, isn't that what a wasteful business does?

The pigs can't afford him.. they've spunked all their moneh...

End of..
But surely their marketing department are bringing in fortunes? Looking at the pitchside advertising it's...Chansiri...Sheffield Wednesday 150 years old (88, actually)...some fucking latex balloons...Chansiri etc. They've not got a pot left to piss in.

Not only have we made their stupid bounce redundant there appears to be a distinct lack of Sydney's on that forum, would it have anything to do with our Micky taking on here? Not only that the use of the word 'massive' must stick in their throats from here on in.

All in all a deluded reputation demolished on and off the pitch.

I really hope we make the most of David Brooks between now and January. Even I'll admit this time that there's probably nothing we can do to keep him. What an unreal talent

Stan Bowles ? I think that's doing Brooks a disservice. I've said it before and I'll say it again - he's the closest thing I've seen to the young Johan Cruyff and it doesn't get much better than that ( and no, I'm not getting carried away).

That's sticking the knife in and twisting it.

Good lad.

Can we have a graph of pig pain?

I think the kid has ambitions of playing in the prem, so that rules them out. Plus I don't think hoofball is his style.
