I am quietly confident.

One thing that REALLY stood out to me this last week listening to Blades and Pigs on the phone ins is this...the number of Pigs that keep saying 'If we turn up we'll beat United'

IF lads, IF?!

I haven't heard a single Blade say 'If we turn up' not one, because I and every one us fucking know that we WILL turn up. Whether we will be good enough is still debatable but we all know Wilder has been preparing for this game in his mind since Fleck scored at Northampton and his players will leave every ounce on that pitch on Sunday.

The simple truth is, we trust our manager completely, the whole fanbase

They don't.

Closer it gets the more the combinations of possible outcomes rattle through your head.

Well, there will be one team going all out for the win...

...from what some piggy mates have told me t'pigs could well bore us into submission...

Not changing the habit of a lifetime. Miserable pessimistic negative nelly nora me.

If you're feeling too sick on Sunday then let me know. Ken Jnr and I will be travelling to Sheff to soak up the atmos and will be somewhere on London Road. If you don't feel up to it, mate, then I'll gladly tek yet ticket off of ya. :)

i was thinking earlier about pressure because we know derbies are more about mentality & i think we have the upper hand. ive already mentioned it on view from. we know our team is fantastic under pressure Oxford at home i can only remember a few build up to a league game that was considered must win like that in last decade. the pressure was huge, i was scared of league 2 football. even rumours of wilder possibly being sacked. then if wasnt enough pressure on players & manager it tripled when Oxford went 1-0 up & we can take confidence in that they didnt retreat they grew found a way & won. were transformed into the champions

then you contrast that with wednesday in play off semis last year as they were arguably 2 worst performances they had last season. because in 210 mins they scored once that was a own goal (no disrespect to them who were very orgainzed & worked like a team) v bunch of loans & frees. but expensively assembled squad shouldve beaten pre season relegation candidates & jordan rhodes is well known that he cracked under pressure & refused to take a penalty

We might not get the required result, you can never legislate for a result because luck can play a part

BUT you can be sure that we will turn up
And we will put in a good, possibly even an impressive performance.

Looking forward to their fans admitting ‘we didnt realise you were that good”.
