The most enjoyable though for me is undoubtedly Danes opener in the 2-0 win over Real Madrid in Blue and white stripes. Whatever your age, that was the goal we all wanted to score. Iconic celebration from a true Blade. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it.

I've never hated anyone in my life but Gareth fucking Ainsworth is on the fringe.

Quinny cracking it first time, shutting the fuckers up and then having a cheeky little celebrate right down the pitch
Good goal fella!

From the owls side and I won't call names.for me it's tudgay with that beauty.

Can't fault the quality on that one. Sheridan kicking the ball directly into touch from a wrongly given corner in our2-0 win when you were one down has always made me have respect for him. The ex piggy twat :)

Fabulous player was Sheridan. But even some of our imbeciles got on his back because he missed a penalty v wolves.

Beat me to it Sean , both goals against them in that double season , the absolute joy of a local lad scoring , mentioned it to him last time I was in town , that's what it means to our players then and now, while they may celebrate a goal , ours is meant with a passion something Sheffield Madrid don't fucking get .

That one fist salute. That's how I celebrated every goal scored on a schoolyard kickaround from then on. (Which amounts to about 5 goals, but still)

Brown wanted away. Doesn't make a jot of difference to him being a legend though.

For the sake of £1/2m they should have kept him until the end of the season and let him go for nowt. No coincidence that we sell our best player (top at the time), then at the very least don't replace him properly, then finish 8th. Selling the family silver didn't work that window, for that matter never has done at the Lane. But agree Browny still a legend at the Lane :)

4th of February 1967,32 year old Bill Punton scored his one and only goal for United in front of 43,490.

He liked a cracker did sibon. We've had some good games between us over the years.

I was in the North Stand that day, as I couldn't get a ticket for the away end and in those days databases for who supported who and having a customer number was also absent. I'll never forget seeing the Leppings Lane end arising for the two goals we scored as normally I'd be in the thick of it celebrating but I obviously couldn't do that in the Wednesday end! One bloke did in the Wednesday Kop and ran for his life! Great win for us but its not remembered as much as the Bobby Davison double or the 2 - 1 Akinbiyi win.

Can tha piss off reminding me about the Bobby Davison show :D

James Beattie free kick to equalise deep in injury time. was just fantastic. piggies thought they beaten us & he scored that with almost final kick. shut them up so enjoyably

Birchenall's double at their place, in front of the Kop I think (cheered me up coming out of theatre at the Northern General after tib & fib bust that morning in a school match). Ouch!...... Owls fans in real pain that day!

Every goal we have scored against Wednesday will always be remembered with particular fondness but the the one that particularly stands out.

Michael Browns volley. Never mind the best goal against the pigs, it is probably the best goal I've ever seen a United player score

Browns technically the best goal, but for me Akinbyi's just screamed "fuck off"

It was a goal in each half. Birchenall's 2nd league match! He scored 6 goals in his first 4 matches against Wendy

Do you remember Bobby Davison scoring two goals past a useless pig keeper ?

"John gannon gets the ball, he turns, swings the ball into the box.....BOBBY DAIVIDSONNNNNNNN with a second and The blades third..."
