Coutts FA probe

The way I saw it from the kop the Norwich player was tussling with Coutts who shrugged him off the wanker went down holding his face until Maddison went down claiming a pen he then was up in a flash to chase after the ref to help the penalty claim. Total play acting worthy of a WWF bout.

Anybody got footage of the clear penalty we should have had in the first-half.

Also why were the dishonest Norwich play-actors making elbow gestures when it was a forearm at the very worst. What he actually deserved, of course, was a fucking firearm...
And some people still want us to get into the PL? The English game is as bent as fuck. The utterly incompetent 'referee' was pleased to let Norwich get away with all kinds of nefarious activities (including Farke repeatedy making 'card' gestures) but it was Wilder who got sent off. I saw the Coutts 'incident' perfectly well and he used the inside of his arm to try to prevent a Norwich player bursting past him. It wasn't a deliberate 'smash', more easing him off the ball by knocking him off balance and protecting himself.
Keep it up, lads and we have cunts like Steve Sutton saying that Sadio Mane (Liverpool) shouldn't have been sent off for booting Ederson (Man. City goalie) full in the face. But what disappoints me more than anything is a few Blades fans willing to point out our indiscretions (as if the media and authorities haven't already got it into for us...). The 'handbags' on Bramall Lane after the game. The fact that Norwich flouted the rules by deliberately delaying coming out for the second half etc., but it's only United who do these things. They're like grasses in the classroom...

It wasn't off the ball, Coutts was in possession with two Norwich players around him, just inside their half near the dugouts, he laid the ball off and the Norwich player came in late, Coutts raised his right forearm as the player ran into him, who then went down like he'd been hit with a baseball bat. Looked like a bit of self preservation to me?

So, if the ref didn't see it, who draws the FA's attention to it, do Norwich or the player make an official complaint, or would it be the ref assessor or other third party?

Snitches get stitches and all that

Damn right.

So let's all play fair. Let's get Coutts a 3-match ban for an extremely innocuous incident. The same as David Luiz will get for a career-threatening leg-breaker v. Arsenal's Kolasinac.

These sort of coming together happens all the time in games up and down the country.

Ridiculous he is facing a charge for something as innocuous as this.
100% this is a result of a complaint from Norwich.

That last photo is deffo the incident.. theres even a photo on twitter of him laid down and another one from just before what obviously the officials were more bothered about.. looked a blatant flailing arm from the kop

Lundstram to show us what he's all about.

Potentially:

Blackman
Baldock
Basham
Wright
JOC
Stevens
Lundstram
Fleck
Duffy
Brooks
Ched

Someone's going to have to pull something out of their arse if we want to place the ball between the goalposts.
They sure are, JOC or Basham header from a corner/free kick. Or Brooks with a 30 yard dribble and finish, last minute, in front of the Kop 1-0. Wow, yeah.

Anyway, whether Coutts plays or not without a proper fit striker I don't think we'll trouble them much from open play really ! The movement to create space etc on their last man just won't be there. So best chance is a set piece or the ball dropping to someone after a scrap in the box

Sharp and Donaldson are fit. Coutts reported the incident himself knowing he'll get off but making it more difficult for pigs to prepare for a midfield trio.

Wilder is brilliant at bluffing

Apparently Dave Richards, Trevor Brooking, Martin Samuels and Tango have been appointed on the independent panel assessing the incident.
God for a minute there I thought we were fucked !

Reyt then lads. Go to 76:30 on the ifollow full match vid for the incident.

Watched it half a dozen times on slow motion and quite honestly it looks more like Coutts' forearm into the player's neck area, then as he is falling he gets Coutts' hand in his face.

Personally I don't think it is that bad but the panel may disagree. I just hope they give him the benefit of the doubt. A 3 match ban would be harsh imo.

It is a pity you cannot access shoutbox from Saturday as I reported it on there as it happened and it would give you a guide to the minute it happened. It was near the end of the game though. From the Westfield it looked an elbow but to me Coutts won the ball first and the Norwich player was slightly behind and thinking about it now it could've been just a hand off. Coutts was running towards the Westfield at the time. Those near the dugout probably had a better view.

just looking at it on ifollow. 76 minutes in.

Cant cut the screen, it goes blank when I try

Coutts is robbed of the ball
Norwich player goes to run past him and coutts blocks his run and he does his right arm

Norwich player collapses
Norwich player loses ball and it goes out of play
Norwich player gets to his feet

my gut feel is it would be harsh if he gets a retrospective, when the officials gave nothing on the dya

looked a penalty to me though

FFS!

Best midfielder likely out, best strikers out, the football gods have woke up after their gap year haven't they?

All eyes are understandably on the derby but with Wolves and Forest following closely behind we could easily follow the four straight wins with four straight defeats.

Don't play Hammond mk 2 in Lundstrum at the sty we will get our pants pulled down in midfield if we do.

You heard anything about the injury situation Danny04 ? Sharp and Donaldson particularly.
Was talking to a lad who has a contact at the Lane ( I know) this lad goes early to the lane as he has a couple of young kids, he met up with his pal and asked him about the team, he said he obviously cannot say too much be that we had problems today but they should be ok for next Sunday, this was around two O clock on Saturday, the lad I was talking to is not a bull shitter, a good lad, it made me feel better anyway!

Yep, it looks like Coutts pulls him back with his left hand grabbing the Norwich lads left arm...and his right arm coming from behind across his neck and pushing him out of the way...

...hopefully the continual feigning injury/ holding the face from the Norwich team may go in Coutts favour here also.

They won't look into that. At the incident alone. Is it dangerous play/violent conduct? Probably. Swinging arms/hands at players off the ball is likely to be viewed dimly.

It would have been a second yellow, meaning....

Well now I feel stupid haha, hypothetically speaking if Coutts had no yellow on saturday and the ref still missed it, would he still be looking at a 3 match ban or just the punishment of a yellow?

What if Lion had come on and bit him? Hypothetically....
