Factor in what we know about Evans carrying an injury and as at Saturday night, 35% of the squad is injured or coming back from injury.
A week before the derby match.
You couldn't make it up!
He gets a right kick'in most games, for a pretty boy he's a tough little fucker.
That's him missing Sunday though.
Mrs NYB did hers last year at the same age teaching our grand daughter to body board! Never learn women do they? She was in agony for weeks.Broken ribs, pain killers and rest cure up to 6 weeks.
Wife has just recovered and it took longer than that but she is 69 years old - fell off a roundabout at a kids playground, like you do!!![]()
We were extremely fortunate with injuries last season, in that probably the only absentee was Clarke from the first XI, who returned just when Lavery was injured.
This season:
We can safely say that whatever luck we had has now run out.
- The first choice keeper is injured
- The marquee centre-back signing is injured
- All of our main strikers injured
- The remaining back-up striker is forced to play despite needing an operation
- Our free-scoring wing-back of last season is injured
I'm sure theres another right wing back ready in the Academy as well. We produce them every yearBaldock is a quality replacement. Should the footy gods shaft us again and injure him then we go to Bash who has always looked accomplished in that position, in which case we have plenty of options to cover at CB.
correctHow does a broken rib heal? Can't exactly put a cast on it. Just rest?
Just shows how we read the game differently. Not happy he's hurt by any stretch but he was poor today, so it's a window of opportunity for Baldock to step in
I thought that was if you'd swallowed a coin or key..at risk of sounding like Godrey from Dad's Army, I'm sure I was told that you used to eat cotton wool sandwiches when you had a broken rib - 45 years later, it doesn't seem to make much sense though ....
can't breathe without it hurting, a broken rib must be a right bal ache.
Noticed at Bolton that Baldock was good at stopping crosses which was Freeman's weakness. Baldock is faster tooJust shows how we read the game differently.
Poor for 1st 10 mins then MOTM for some if us.
Having watched Baldock at Bolton, where he was possibly MOTM, not worried about the change.
