I'm with Wilder ....he and his cheating tactics can Farke off back to Germany.

What is wrong with the English game when teams are hiring coaches with no experience from other countries above good English managers

He looks like a second rate cruiseboat entertainer.

Sylvester Stallone steps in to Seth Brundle's teleportation device but before he can close the door, George Michael leaps in, it's too late, the transportation has begun. What emerges...

...The Farke. And it can Farke off an'all

we'd do the same, timewasting is part of the game

Now this is beginning to piss me off. This - and similar posts in other threads - say 'We've done it' etc. etc. In 50-odd years of watching the Blades, I have never seen us stoop to these 'tactics'. I think we're too naive. The nearest thing I've seen to Norwich yesterday was Leeds under Revie when cheating bastards like Bremner, Giles, Hunter etc. could suss a weak ref. and intimidated him into giving nearly all decisions in their favour. That's exactly what Farke did yesterday. He and his team used the first half to gauge the game and the ref. and used it to their advantage.

Absolutely nothing to admire or say 'We'd have done it.' As long as Norwich get compliant refs. and opponents who are not sufficiently 'street-savvy' they'll get away with it. But it won't last.

I'm sure I've seen more than 1 of our keepers carded for time wasting over the last 10 years.

Yeah, me too. But it wasn't just their goalie, was it? Mob-handedly surrounding the ref. urging him to get the cards out (and I'm including Farke). Violent tackles all over the pitch. That's not 'gamesmanship', it's fucking cheating. Compare and contrast Kieron Freeman (broken rib, wanting to play on) with that cunt Maddison who couldn't wait to cheat, wind the crowd up and was directly responsible for the trouble after the game.

Apparently, according to the Norwich press headline, Farke refused to get embroiled in a war of words...

Norwich City chief Daniel Farke refuses to get embroiled in Sheffield United controversy
Daniel Farke opted to keep his own counsel rather than get embroiled in a war of words with Sheffield United rival Chris Wilder after a feisty 1-0 Championship win at Bramall Lane.

Wilder accused the Canaries of gamesmanship during an abrasive contest and was seething City had got caught in traffic prior to the game and then kept his side waiting at half-time.

Wilder himself was sent to the stands in the second half for encroaching into Farke’s technical area to retrieve the ball with his team trailing to Yanic Wildschut’s first half goal.

“That is not my topic and I won’t comment on the behaviour of my colleagues,” said the German. “I will just concentrate on my job. After the game and these decisions, especially in the second half, I would think it was me who had to be put in the stand. You have to accept that it was the other way around.”

Wilder’s exit came in the midst of a frenetic spell that saw James Husband go to ground after an off-the-ball tussle and James Maddison get booked in the aftermath of what his head coach insisted was a clear penalty.

“I won’t judge that incident (with Husband). It’s not my topic. The only thing was really obvious was we did not receive a penalty in the second half. That was an incredible decision,” he said. “The keeper either gets the ball and it’s a corner or he hits the man and it’s a penalty. They got a goal kick and everyone in the stadium could see he was two metres away from the ball. James Maddison was injured in this situation and I had to substitute him. He wasn’t able to run off the pitch.

“He tried to come out to the sideline and was given a yellow card. Then we were not able to substitute him so we had to play for two minutes or whatever with 10 men. To accept this situation was really hard and to be honest I am a little bit surprised I wasn’t on the stands either. I just tried to calm down. I won’t comment on the incidents we can’t influence, nor the situations of the referee. It is always about our behaviour.”

That doesn't really sound like keeping your counsel.

Farke was manager of Borrussia Dortmund previously. One of Germany's most successful and biggest clubs.

Yes me too mate, Simon Tracey in particular was a real piss-taker and WUM. But, I don't know if you were at the game yesterday, but Norwich took gamesmanship to new levels, they really did. And the referee was too weak to do anything about it. 4 times he warned their goalie about wasting time - 4 times! And he still didn't book him.

Gets my vote for wanker of the week.
