“To be fair I thought he was poor both ways. I felt we got stitched more than they did, but they were denied a clear corner amongst other bits that went our way. The ref missed 3 off the ball incidents, what appeared to be an elbow on Stiepermann, the penalty and that was just for us, he gave some ridiculous free kicks for blatant dives, let Gunn timewaste for hours, and just generally totally lost control.”

fair

Was the penalty shout the on where their player decided to run into Jamal and then pretend Jamal had run into him

Might be a bit early this one but I'm busy tomorrow so if a Norwich Mod comes on saying it's unfair then tell them to go and lay down on the floor in agony until I change it
That's worth several likes. Made me lol.

If that's how they want to play, get on with it. Yes, they got the points but what an awful way to get them.

They were terrible. Awful performance, they got their result but image watching that all season?!

Horrible team. And who was that dickhead who wanted a pen, then when he didn't get it pretended he was injured then hobbled off like sumat off platoon, then at the final whistle walked fine. He even managed a couple of gestures towards the blades fans.

Some of their fans do seem a bit Billy big bollocks in the comments...don't know why, must be a bit deluded.

We did it for years under Blackwell. I remember coming out of games in that era after we had won and feeling strangely deflated. I stopped watching us away after a while to be honest

On the train back and Norwich fans saying there were stabbings after the game? Any truth?
The stabbings were on the pitch I was sure the Norwich players were rolling around playing dead due to being shot by a sniper ,but I guess they were only stabbed.
Good to see they all survived without too many tears rolling down their faces.

We asked for defeat today playing an unfit striker and a kid upfront.

Maybe Wilder got as frustrated as us?

As for their fans we'd have behaved the same in their scenario- perhaps this result will bring some of those Wilder for England posts and talk of promotion posters down to Earth?
Who would you have played up front today taking into account t injuries?

I agree, perhaps he was just missing his sister.

I'd be embarrassed to support Norwich if that's how they play every week, awful to watch

From what I saw was have tanked them if we had a fit striker on the pitch

Once they knew we had no real goal threat they just walked the game down

I think the fact that United (in defeat) got louder applause than their shower at the end should tell them a bit about what most Blades thought about their shitty team and manager.

It was a real break for them scoring early with their only decent shot on target. They'd have had no idea what to do if we'd scored first, just one of those games.

Norwich players have always acted like utter cunts when at Bramall Lane.

It all harks back to when that full weight bellend Paul McVeigh scored against us and ran towards our KOP goading our fans after scoring. I think it was this match where we had 2 soft sending offs with double yellow cards.

United are a bigger club than Norwich will ever be. Today they were a lucky set of cheating, diving, play-acting, time wasting tw*ts who I hope lose every other game this season. The ref needs abusing with the rough end of a pineapple.

The Norwich penalty [or lack of it] sums up how bad the cunt was.

Just thinking outside the box. How about one of the u23 strikers instead of Ched? Let him rest if he's not fit.
With all due respect such as? LS already quoted "We asked for defeat today playing an unfit striker and a kid upfront"
Throwing a youngster in for a debut without even a sub appearance would have been a massive gamble? If any were ready to make the step up or even close to it then surely Wilder would have had them on the bench? Today was a freak day when all 6 strikers weren't fit yet one had the bottle to put the team first and give it his best shot. It didn't work. The rest now have 8 days to get fit

Norwich will grow tired of that brand of football - stuck in mid-table for years to come.

We deserved something from the game and should have scored on more than one occasion.

I hope we turn them over at Carrow Road.

HH

PS - Good to see Cassius and parents at the Nelson before the match.

I thought Norwich had done their home work on us, some of our best outlets for driving forward in Bash, O'Connell and Duffy were always closed down quickly. That said I thought if all strikers were fit or at least two of them then the result could have been different, instead of being left with Ched at 70% fit and needing an op, and a young kid who is obviously talented but more of a wide player. It also didn't help that a number of players were off key in the first half as nearly all of them were guilty of a sloppy pass somewhere along the line.

I'm hoping today's result/performance might have a positive knock on effect for next weekend

Good post mate in amongst the bitterness.

A frustrating day for sure but their manager certainly deserves credit for doing his homework on us.

Can't help but smile at some comments on this thread and how soon people forget some of our performances, even in the last 10 years.
