- Deane and Agana both scoring hatricks in the same game when we beat Chester City 6-1. That's only happened twice in our entire history I think.

The other bizarre thing about that was that there was a hat trick in each half. And if I remember right Deano had gone off by the time Agana scored his three. Wasn't it also the second game in succession that Deano scored a hat trick?

Watching our own player, Peter Withe, playing against us on loan to Birmingham and scoring to beat us was pretty bizarre and fuckwitted even by mid 80s SUFC standards.

We also had Roger Hansbury on loan from them in our goal. Even more fuckwittedness

For me it's got to be the battle of Bramall Lane v WBA when the game was abandoned due to lack of players.....that was bizarre.

In addition to those already discussed, let me throw in Blades 0 Scunthorpe 4 in 2010. We dominated the game, hit the post/bar several times, were the better side by miles, but lost by 4 !

Oh, and some bloke called Martyn Wooolford scored.

yeah that easily the game for me & was 7 yrs ago on Thursday. as i got it on my timehop how we hit post twice, bar once, 1 cleared off the line, 1 disallowed & stonewall penalty

absolutely battered them should have won 10 - 3 but playing rees second half with a limp cost us the game when Gayle over protecting scored one of the weirdest own goals ever

they won the the last ever level playing field title before football was reformed into those with money and those left to fight over scraps

Yeah. John Francis replaced Agana.
Deane got 2 hat tricks in 1993 Burnley away then Ipswich home four days after. Burnley was a cup match.

That's right, one in each half. Francis came on for Deane and laid on the last 2 goals for Agana.

Deane got 2 hat tricks in a row in 1992-3 - at Burnley and home to Ipswich.
