We don't seem to have one at present.

Not sure you needed to highlight that though.

I'm sure if we lose a couple Blackman, Lafferty, Lundstrum, Stearman and Clarke will cop it though.

Probably best that this thread goes incognito before some of our negative posters dream up reasons to hate our players.

We could always bring Squinny back, he's up to nowt at the moment.

Lundstram seems an obvious choice to me, because he's a third division no-mark and I'm genuinely puzzled by the signing.

I have every faith in Wilder and, due to the way he works in the transfer market, he's bound to get one or two signings wrong (but rarely at great expense, so always worth the risk). Hopefully this guy will prove me wrong, but right now I'd rather have Nick Montgomery on the bench.

You clearly weren't at Sunderland or there yesterday.

He's a good addition, brought on to shore up the midfield in the last 2 and it's worked a treat.

He's getting better with every game and was very unlucky not to score yesterday.

Clarke is given FAR too much slack for a 5.5 game purple patch at the end of last season.

Just telling it as it is.

He needs to up his game back towards this level. For the sake of the team, I hope he does.

I'll predict he won't do it. I'll also predict that the gaffer will continue to have faith in him. Misplaced faith. IMHO.

Sharp must be foaming to be constantly dragged after 70 mins. Especially when Clarke remains on the pitch. This in particular does not sit well with me. It's detrimental to the team.

Again, all abart opinions.

Was it not the case, that last night Leon was kept on to help with the Bolton aerial assault on our goal?

I thought he was superb last night. Number of headers he won, flick ons, holding the ball up while people got forward. He does need to pull the trigger a bit more but he would be perfect alongside Donaldson (in a world where Billy doesnt exist) - He even made some runs last night!

Time....give him time. 6 months for most players to settle down.
Though it seems from reports he's done well the last two.

Basically it's fitness. Our midfield players are among the fittest in the country I suspect. They have to be to play the way we do successfully. You can't just arrive from elsewhere and "crack on" it takes time to get to those levels....probably months even if you haven't been at that level of fitness before.

And the prize for the first bitter anti-Blade rant goes to....

Lundstram looks like a reasonable footballer to me. In much the same way that Coutts looked off the pace when Clough first signed him, he needs games and to get up to speed with his teammates. If we don't suffer injuries he won't get those games and even if he does, some of our wankier fans will immediately be on his back, as evidenced above.

A great away 3 points but just 12 hours later we have people having a pop. Only in S2......

Has Nick "Monty" Montgomery got any pressing Hollywood commitments at present?

well I should coco that man is one of the leading lights in Hollywood he is always busy, Awards season cant be far away either.

here practicing his bewildered face ready for an up and coming role as a premier league footballer in Maybe this Saturday?

I've seen Clarke laughing and joking with Wilder and McCabe. Billy was looking on, in tears.

Bastards.

Lafferty looks very uncomfortable at this level I think he'll go the same way as Hussey.

To regurgitate an old favourite, he has a touch like a you know what ;)

In this progressive Wilder side, where being comfortable on the ball is a pre requisite, he (and Lafferty) stand out for all the wrong reasons.

Not scapegoating. Not having a whipping boy.
