No, not the mighty Blades, but bloody Bolton.

Same as at home last season, buying free kicks all game, lump it up into the box. Absolutely archaic football.

Big Blackman dominated everything, was superb, claimed absolutely everything in the box, superb performance.

Back 3, superb, full backs brilliant (Baldock is some player).

First half an hour Fleck and Duffy struggled with their 6'5 beefy harrassing, but soon grew into the game and controlled midfield.

Coutts is just Coutts.

Clarke battled but didn't really do much.

Sharp barely touched the ball again.

Deserved performance, they're finishing rock bottom with about 30 points. Absolutely shocking team.

We got dragged into playing that way in the 2nd half and giving away needless free kicks. A shame as we had played some good stuff in the first half and I thought we would push for a 2nd goal.

They had us under pressure for long periods. Our defence held out but those Bolton tactics will work against other teams

You think?

I didn't think that at all. They had a run of 'bought' free kicks. That's the only time we were under any pressure.

A few goalmouth scrambles too. Our defence did magnificently but for the last 25 mins we seemed happy to sit back and defend

Meh. It's what I refer to as Kevin Blackwell fake-pressure, where a team keeps getting the ball high up the pitch, into the box, but is really only desperately hoping for a lucky bounce. We had three centre backs who are good in the air, a 6'5 keeper, and that's enough that Bolton were never a real threat. If I were watching from Bolton's perspective (and given the football we've played in the past, I know exactly how I'd feel) I'd say they could've played another ninety minutes and they wouldn't have scored.

We needed this game. We've held our own against teams that try to play football, now we've shown we won't be kicked off the park by a hoof brigade. I imagine W*dnesday will bring both, and we'll deal with it

We were good first half, let them have too much second. I still think we're lacking up front. Bolton were dreadful, worse than last season. They'll go back down.

PS Where are those Bolton twats from last season?

Don't know when the pigs play Bolton, either home or away, but sky would do well to stay well clear of that fucking circus.

Well that was awful! Watching that Bolton team was like going back to 70's. Not seen a team who are so anti football in a long long time they made he Bolton team of last season look like Barcelona.

So much praise for the blades we stood strong and this win was more impressive than Saturday. Our centre halves must have neck braces on tonight.
