It's going to be disappointing for Sunderland fans when the seats within 50 yards of the away fans left, right and below are closed
It happened at the other end. One of their fans got pulled out and police came and arrested him causing more of their fans to race to the front. Was never at Roker but surprised at the completely dead atmosphere from Sunderland fans and the banks of empty seats. Reminded me of MK Dons only bigger. The Lane is a much better football experience. Stadium of Light another soulless stadium.

You'd be going mental if people were slating him after one game and one poor performance so it's a bit hypocritical to suggest that the doubters have been proven wrong after the same time period. Long may his excellent form continue.

Sorry mate. Not having it. There are Non-Blade-Wankers on here who turn up only to voice and encourage anti-Blade negativity (I don't have you in mind). I have zero tolerance for their constant, usually malicious, often-fabricated shite.

Plot twist, Pinchy is Batman

Tha talking abart that bloke who dun't like Monty aren't yer?

I'm hoping cramp after seeing it on iFollow - one of the other players tried to stretch it for him straight afterwards and he didn't seem to limp when walking off. Just being hopeful really...

I fkin hope that's what it is

If so, I can sleep easier at night

24th aint that far away

If his hamstring is just " tweaked" as reported I'd rest him for Notlob away and possibly subs bench against Norwich

No we weren't! A few idiots were. They've been proved wrong, nobody else. Don't include the sensible people in the 'us'.

We will indeed .

Funny thing is in all of this , i believe the single biggest contributory factor determining success or otherwise for us this season is the mindset at the lane amongst players staff and fans together .

When the players really believe that they are more than good enough to compete at this level , when the back room staff from top to bottom share that belief and WE the fans believe this too , i think we'll surprise an awful lot of people .

You could sense a change in attitude after the Derby game amongst everyone. Wilder was glowing in his post match comments and was at pains to point out that victory was ours not because Derby were poor but because WE imposed ourselves on them all over the pitch . The players walked off at the end of the game with their chests out and their chins up proud that they were players more than good enough for this Division . And for the fans too the penny is finally starting to drop , yes it's a tough Division but we are more than good enough to compete .

The chant of " United are back " wasn't just cathartic is was the positive reinforcement of a belief that's just starting to really take hold at BDTBL . We are actually a very good football team .

One day pinchy , they may actually understand exactly what it is that's happening at the lane , one day ........

Played his best football for another team in red/white stripes, not shocked by his dream debut as i tipped it in another thread, has all the atributes that Blades fans love.

I said after about 15 minutes today that he's going to be a great signing - he still has plenty of pace and held the ball really well.

We've been crying out for pace for a long time, especially for away matches, and ultimately it was his pace that won us the game today. He doesn't score either of those goals if he isn't quick. Wilder talked about 'pace in behind' - the second goal was the definition of that.

But that injury put a huge dampener on today for me. To be given a taster like that only for him to be out for a few weeks would be extremely frustrating. It'd be a real piss take, it's happened with Stearman and it could happen with him - two key signings injured immediately. I see him as a key player for the derby, without him I'd be far less confident. It wouldn't be so bad if Clarke was available but he'll probably be injured too. Just when it's looking really good, something has to go wrong.

Fingers crossed he's only out for a couple of weeks because I feel we could go on a great run with him and Sharp together.

My comment when we signed him was that he was better than D. Cole and at a much more sensible price, I also did caution he had been picking up a few injuries over the previous season or so.

Both proved correct in one appearance I belive.

Let's hope he's back to fitness soon, looks exactly the type of player we have lacked for about 10 years.

Seems a top bloke does Donaldson too, a perfect fit.

I think he could turn into a bit of a cult hero for us. Two outstanding goals on his debut. Really hope he's back in time for the Sty, even Ade Akinbiyi has a place in my heart for that volley he scored there.

I'd actually forgotten about Stearman, with Carter-Vickers in the squad now too (who I have a feeling will be a big player for us eventually) and with Clarke and co all still to come back up front, we've got the makings of a strong squad with great competition. We just really can't afford injuries to Fleck and Coutts, they're massive players for us.

Savour the moment lads, these are the moments we're in it for. Up the Blades.

There's far more satisfaction in Wilder getting "only league one players" and so called "cheap options" doing the business than just buying so called "quality".
8 of today's winning team are last season's lads proving we were buying championship quality players last season
But if they don't cost over £10 million, how are we supposed to know?

If he aint on next years calendar it'll be a fucking scandal!

Donaldson on that 1 performance was brilliant signing. calmed any of the nerves we had, just what we needed. some birmingham fans i was reading yesterday were saying he looked so good yesterday because he got the service he never got at Birmingham

also the main thing is without going overboard you could tell the difference. as he was so clinical we didnt have many chances as you go up the leagues. but it solves what we've lacked so far.

To be fair, I've been there when it was bouncing and it's an unbelievable atmosphere. Perhaps since they've extended it it's lost some of its atmosphere.

More to do with performance and results over last few seasons probably :(
