As the poll says: Just how nervous do you think the pigs about playing the mighty Blades on the 24th? Are they still giving it the big one: "you'll never compete in La Liga" or have they waddled quietly into hiding, fearful that the Blades might actually give them a game?

Don't worry , because in a worse case scenario , you won't be able to shut the fuckers up after
Because it'll be told ya so , blah blahblah ,
Sunderland is our next important game .

Am focused on today's match. After today, I will be focused on Tuesday's match etc

Oh you and I both mate - but just wanted to give the best part of a fortnight for the views to gradually roll in... :)

Like on here, just the bedwetters.

I can't help thinking some of our fans just think we have to turn up.

Not at all Sean, mate. It will be a real test of course - against a side who ought to be getting automatic promotion and the first derby in several years. Blades fans are just bouyed by our start and the prospect of despite their bravado and lavish spending, we could really give them a game.

It's just reflects each set of supporters mindsets at the moment.

For them, it's more a defence mechanism so if they lose, they can turn around with the 'well, we expected it...'.

Maybe we should just concentrate on picking up points over next few games.

As much as losing to the pigs makes me sick to the core, I'd rather we had a decent season as a whole than worry about two games against them.

The league table after 46 games is what counts.

With what they've seen recently, I suspect they will be a whole lot more nervous that before the campaign began.
With what we've seen recently (how well we can play, how poor they can play, how Carlos' tactics are poor, how they choke on the pig stage, how they have some key players injured, how there's unrest in their camp) I suspect we are feeling mighty confident but.......
It's a derby, they have the ability to 'pull a performance/result' out of the bag, we might have an off day, we might have a ridiculously unfair sending off in the first 10 mins to deal with or worse, a couple of key injuries.
I think it's reasonable to suggest that they probably feel exactly the same as 95% of us, and that is that owt can happen and we'll be glad when it's out of the way....until January when it all happens again!

As I've said on another thread, I'd like us to start picking up points away from BDTBL before getting too carried away.

I know I'd be nervous if I was a BIG FAT FILTHY PIG. It's set up perfectly for us to win yet all the pressure will be on them.

Really confident but dreading it as always!

They really are a bang average Championship side.

Nothing to fear. We have already beaten better.

If any of this "trouble at the mill" stuff is anything like, we may turn them over.

Be a great 3 point, but as has been said, it's only that ;)

Whilst agreeing that Wilder and the lads need to just concentrate on the next game, it's getting to the point on this forum where we can't post anything unless it's about the next game (or something happening in the next 24 hours)! Come on guys lighten up a bit, since United cheered up we're all excited about football again and given that England play like the United of old international breaks are going to be very long.
As for the OP wednesday have old just stopped giving it the big 'un and as previously stated only because they genuinely fear a defeat.

they are shitting themselves that much the poll has rounded itself up to 200 percent instead of a 100

The interesting thing is: At the moment piggies are ASKING Blades about the game, not the other way round.

The ones I know are very concerned about it, and it's very simple - as a club we are expected by the general footballing fraternity to lose to the massive from S6.

They are worried they will get turned over because we have a team - they don't.

I hate Derby matches..rather not have them..rather pigs went of business..but we have them. They wind me up and irritate me..mess up my day for 15 minutes if we lose. Giddy for 25 mins if we win..

Too many family from the dark side..

I remember talk like this before boxing day 1979

Everyone should shut up about it and embrace the underdog role, because if they turn up and click on the day they could fucking hammer us

Let them do all the talking

They were shitting themselves even before the season started. I know this because I took a journey on the dark side and looked at Pork Talk ( it's ok, I used plenty of disinfectant and showered well afterwards ).

There were plenty of comments on the lines of " they might beat us twice but I don't care ' cos we're going up in the automatics ". Ha ha ha ha ..... Yeah, right, on both counts.
