Deadline day behind the scenes video

Is that the one where those "not all bad" and "absolutely necessary for the game" football agents are fucking everything up for our club?

It basically confirms the Sinclair (and subsequently Quina) deal fell through purely because the agent demanded his fee was doubled at the last minute, after everything had been agreed.

That's just shocking. Hope the greedy cunt's proud of himself.

Not sure how many have seen this yet, but thought it's worth its own thread.

Just a fascinating and rare insight. Wilder comes out of this really well IMO. So calm when it must have been so infuriating.

I'll make it the last time I moan about this, because no one's seems concerned before when I've raised it, but this camera crew did not, as claimed, go behind the scenes at @SUFC_tweets, they went behind the scenes at Sheffield United.

Grrrrr.

On the twitter Sheffield United go by the @sufc_tweets name because @ sufc (but without the gap so I don't tag a member on here) was taken by a Blades fan. It was a tweet about Sheffield United, so they used their twitter name.

If I'd have been either of those 2 players, I'd have been on google at a minute past eleven searching for a new agent.

Our club comes out of that with flying colours (making the crazies on this forum look the single-cells most of us know them to be). The agents are shown for the contemptible leeches they are.

Oh, and the subtitles man. Should of! Fucking "should of". Sack the illiterate fucker, Bleacher!

I hope those who prefer to whinge and blame the club, meaning Chairman and Manager, for every mishap, manage to absorb what went on in that video.

It doesn't surprise me, as having been involved in contractual negotiations I appreciate that nothing is done until a signature is on an agreement. As Wilder says, there needs to be a better, more transparent method, where both parties agree to a deal and then are seen to stick by their word. As things are the agents slip and slide, act like snakes, and try and play one club off against another until they have what they want. Don't get me wrong, there are decent agents, and they are to be respected, but those who don't understand integrity and decency are vermin and poison everything. Some of the younger players are gullible, thus they listen to the twats who are meant to look after them and in doing so end up losing out.

Great video that ought to go viral and act as an example of what can happen. The names of the respective agent(s) should be disclosed on the video too.

Good thing we have a manager who knows what he's doing!

Sinclair was up for signing for us...he was sat at Sheffield station awaiting instruction from his agent....
The mind boggles at how fickle and fuckin greedy some of these agents are.

Should have been a man and rolled up and signed the contract off his own bat and then told his agent to go and do one.

Shame the player has no say in where and when he is going, how much he earns and length of contract, sounds more like north korea,

Yep. I understand the technology. But if they are tweeting about the club, they should call us Sheffield United ... and bollocks the "twitter name". When did we become a club ? 1889 or 2010 ?

That in a nutshell is the thing that really pissed me off in all of this . Three players were missed on deadline day when the club's had reached an agreement , the players were in agreement and wanted to come but the fucking agents wanted more money personally .

The game is fucked from top to bottom :mad:

And, sadly, how incapable modern players are, of putting one foot in front of another, without some avaricious, cigar-smoking leech pulling their strings.

I don't think you do get the technology. You use the handles according to the platforms you're using. It would frankly look decidedly amateurish on BR's part if they were to tweet about a Twitter user and not use that user's handle.

What that article and video tell us is
;
Wilder is such a decent honest bloke any player would be mad not to want to play for him. He has assessed his team and identified the weakness as lack of pace and had 3/4 options to address it.
;
Devante Cole for 200k and add ons is exactly the right sort of money for a player at his stage of development. Wilder is genuinely spending the owners money like it's his own/ours.
;
Jerome Sinclair I felt so sorry for him sat at the train station waiting to sign. But you would think if you had been linked with a club for a week you would have at least done some youtube research on that club. Not to know anything about us, the way we play etc Says either he just wants to play football or he is just chasing the money!

Finally agents are crippling the futures of young footballers and seem happy to manipulate clubs last minute. So glad we didn't fall for it and that Wilder is worth his weight in gold for sticking to his and our principles!

Very finally this transfer window closing when it has has done us no favours Burton beat a crap Birmingham and when we play brum they have a whole new squad Inc. Jota and the opposite to that when Burton play Brentford they won't be the same team we beat, now they've been asset stripped.
