Second season back in football and Ched still lacks any pace what so ever. good foot work when holding the ball at the corner flag but seriously handicapped in open play. Will he ever get any pace back at all and if not can he ever be a serious contender for regular place again ? And who the hell is chess ?
 



I'be been married 13 years with two kids, so my chess fitness is right up there with any 14 year old out there. My right arm can move those pieces as quick as a ninja...
 
Thoroughly disappointed with this thread, I only opened it to learn more about a wonderful rainy Sunday afternoon pass time, and found another thread about absolutely fuck all!?
What a waste of time and effort, why not call it the "Raking over old shit" thread, or "What else can we throw at Ched?" thread, but to tease people by putting "CHESS" in the title, it's just not fucking on!!!!
 
Just for you, SandyMcBlade - I don't ever remember Chedwyn being pacey. He was strong and could outmuscle opponents, but wasn't that quick.

What I see now is someone with ability but zero match sharpness. It could be his body will never allow him to do what he once did, but I'd give it 6 months of football to decide.
 
He's not going to get any faster however much fitter he gets. Everyone is expecting the Ched we knew in league one. It isn't happening, that Ched has long gone.
 



Instead of being a prick at an hotel he'd have been better staying a king of the lane/castle. Instead he chose to make a rook of his missus. Maybe next time he's not with his missus he'll do what a normal bloke does and bash his bishop to some Pawn.
 
Incidentally the number of possible moves in a game of chess is 10 to the power of 120 or 1 novemtrigintillion. It has been estimated that there in fact at least as many possible permutations of moves as there are atoms in the observable universe.

This forum is currently in the process of trying to top that number with the amount of threads about Ched sodding Evans....

I totally agree but this thread has fuck all to do with Evans, it's completely and wholeheartedly about chess pawn.
