Leicester won the league season before last who are the top clubs you mean ?

The usual suspects, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs etc. Think he would've been a great buy for any of them.

Pretty obvious he means the top 7. Which don't include Leicester, who last season finished in a more realistic position of 12th.
He's better than Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. And a better defender than John Stones.

Fair play if it was his choice, but not going to Spurs is daft. They always give their youth a try.
And the last time ,Everton ,Spurs Arsenal ,Liverpool won the league ?
What does top mean anyway ? I don't disagree he is better than the ones you mention above ,but I think Leicester was the right club for him.

All of their squads are better than Leicester's and all will finish above Leicester. Don't let one season skew your vision.

GLTTL. He deserves his chance and, I hope, makes the position his own.

Like for like, Harry for Jags, it's only right that one of the the previous England CB's is replaced with another one of our academy products.
It seems we instill a strong work ethic and professionalism in our successful academy graduates. We equip them very well for a successful career.

Appreciated his acknowledgement of us the other night and wish him good things for the future, but nothing he does from now on will have any bearing on Sheffield United, so it doesn't really matter.
Not quite; Harry benefitted from staying with us and learning his trade before going to a higher placed club. Young players can trust us to develop them properly (and be inspired by him) which gives us a great chance to sign the best young prospects in the area and maybe keep them a little longer if they turn out to be decent.

Yeah that's a fair point actually.

It does to me. I get an immense feeling of pride that one of our lads makes it to the top and it gives me an interest in watching England games when normally I wouldn't bother. It also makes the pigs luminous green with envy because for all of their massiveness, they're light years behind us in this department.

I'd be surprised if they were prepared to
pay him what he's getting at Leicester.
Notoriously bad payers to be fair, considering how much Danny Rose is getting paid compared to England counterparts. (65k to Jesse Lingard's 100k plus...)

Exactly and I heard H is on £85k at Leicester.

Fucking hell. That can't be reyt?! Wow. That's insane.

Fair play to him, more than Jags will have ever been on with Everton.
Can't say with absolute certainty but that's what I've heard.

The acknowledgement before the game started -fair enough but then most of the fans gave him a standing ovation as he left the pitch too, bunch of knobs.
Once you've said GLTTL he's the fucking enemy when he turns up, I'm not going to call him what the bloke to my left did but I'm not clapping the twat off the pitch either. He's had his last clap off me unless he does something favourable for the Blades (or England).
