OK it's only an "FL92" rumour on Facebook but it says Sidwell set to join on loan...

Was on a king's ransom at Fulham and probably similar at Brighton, will believe this when I see it. Would be a terrific signing though.

I always thought he was a proper twat, especially after his antics as Reading warmed down after they beat us 2-1 (I think - the ref had a shocker and we lost anyway; it was the one when Keeeeeffff stayed on the pitch and was chopped down with a waiste-high challenge in the area, with the ref waving away our claims for a penalty - again, I think).

Anyway, Sidwell, the twat, was giving us the "2-1" hand-signals as we were all held back at the end, with him receiving many hand-signals of another kind back. Some fans called a steward over and complained, to which the steward said, "I'll have a word."

I'm convinced that Jags beat him to the Four Four Two Player of the Championship that season both us and Reading were promoted because it was voted for by fellow professionals and my thinking was that they all thought he was a c*nt too.

So yes, I do bear long-held grudges. Might be prepared to overlook all this if he comes to the Lane though.

He looked decent for Brighton and appears to have kept himself in good shape, not remotely comparable to Hammond who was ready for the knacker's yard. Plus if it's only a loan then I don't get the 'last payday' bit as he already contracted to another club.

Blimey...is there no one else out there?

Starting to get the impression that's the case.

Either that or the market has gone to shit and clubs are massively overvaluing their players leading to a lack of movement for any clubs without a sugar daddy.

One of the two

Not much to lose on a loan but isn't he similar to what we've already got in an area where we seem to have the greatest strength in depth ?

You think so? I thought he was excellent. Far better than the Bladey alternative, Young Joe.

Top scorer for us that season I think?

I quite liked Kitson, until his legs clearly went right at the end of the season.

He acted the twat on many occasions towards the opposition, fans and players, when playing for us, and I loved him for it. Football fans, fickle?

Indeed! I used to hate and love Duffy when watching (he celebrated like a right dick in front of the Kop on a couple of occasions), but am now delighted he's wearing red and white.

Will it be a short term loan until January? I suppose then we can get Ben Whiteman back from Donny and see how he's progressing...

That Swedish bloke that nobody likes will be as good as Sidwell is. Wank rumour this

Nick No-Goals Blackman was more effective that Dave No-Goals Kitson

Dave Kitson
2012–2013 Sheffield United 33 Apps, 11 Goals

Nick Blackman
2012–2013 Sheffield United 28 Apps, 11 Goals

Pens. And also Kitson was more of a target man, than out and out poacher. What a really dull team we had that season, such a massive change from the free scoring side the year before.

Not sure midfield is the problem, certainly Coutts & Fleck are doing well enough with Lundstram, Carruthers on the bench. Striker and CB priority.
