100% on the picture quality - PC plugged into a 52 inch TV. We were watching in Cyprus so working as intended. 1 gripe was the lack of commentary. Just read on Kevin Gages twitter feed that people could get his commentary so not sure why we couldn't. Still, even at a fiver a match, it's was still great.

It was exactly the same from up in the Bramall Lane Corner, no commentary at all.

My review of iFollow for the first game:
  • Quality is good. I had no lag or dropouts all game. Seems other people's mileage varied. I suspect it needs a faster connection for same quality compared to Netflix / YouTube etc
  • No commentary was a little disappointing but can be worked around
  • The Bramall Lane cameraman is getting better but still enjoys zooming in a bit too far
  • On the website, actually finding the link to watch the game is difficult! It's not in the ifollow part of the website! You need to go to fixtures and then 'match centre'. Going to fixtures and clicking 'watch on ifollow' just gets you to try to sign up again.
  • Having time / score in the corner would also be useful
  • No replays - but you can manually rewind to watch again

Overall 6/10. It works. Plenty of room for improvement.

I will send some feedback to the club along these lines, and would encourage others to do the same, especially if they had issues.

I'd be interested to see what fans of other clubs thought about their ifollow experience (but I'm no roygbiv)

For me based in Korea (and with very good internet) it was a hit and miss experience, but eventually found the best set up for next time.

The mobile app for most of us out here (various clubs) didn't seem to work well, unless it was set to a low bitrate. I had it set up on a wired connection via shield tv and fire tv and it would only work on 480, anything above and it was unwatchable. After halftime ran it via wifi on my macbook and it was flawless at top resolution.

My Lincoln supporting mate said it worked great for him first half, but 2nd half was shocking. Seems like everyone had a varied experience.

One thing on the mobile app was it would keep booting me out saying I was logged in elsewhere, which was not the case even though I do have it set up on multiole devices.

Thanks for the tip about opening 2 tabs for the comms, was a better experience after that! Overall, worth the money for me especially if the issues with the mobile app get sorted. As a long time expat the holy grails were getting a decent iptv service and watching blades, seem to achieved both this year. Happy days.

Totally agree with as many users contacting the club (and iFollow) as possible re the lack of commentary. For US$120/season, it's pretty poor that we have to be playing around opening two windows (or video on laptop and audio on fone) just to get......
commentary. It's 2017 and the tecky era !

:D ha! Exactly! The tecky era!!

Was the picture from a single camera above the South Stand ?

Or were there multiple views ? - from behind the goal etc

Another way is to download the My Tuner Radio app (on ifone not sure bout Android) and then just search for Radio Sheffield (app has thousands of stations worldwide)

I have Android but will give it a try.
Thanks for the information, much appreciated.

iFollow info
For those watching and listening to iFollow abroad these two tips might help...

IFollow video Access through web browser:
Sign into iFollow on the OS, then go to Matches> Fixtures> Match centre and click on the iFollow icon

Live iFollow.png

Audio commentary:
If you have a second device, you can log into the app on your phone or mobile device and play the commentary this way. However, it is delayed somewhat from the video stream.

Synchronisation of Video and Audio:
To sync, play the commentary as above on your other device
Then on the video, bottom left, use the circle with the anti clockwise arrow to rewind the video to match the Commentary. This will take you back 10 seconds at a time. You might have to do this a few times during the game as the audio seems to be slower than the video and the video gets ahead

Anyway you can watch a game after it's happened without seeing the result?

How do you cancel your old BP subscription? I'm still getting charged monthly for it and can't find where to cancel it anywhere.

anyone rewatched it yet, and changed there opinion on anything

Definitely have to register. Also..although it supports android i can't get it on my Smart Tv. They mailed and confirmed this. Strange !
Assuming that your smart TV is an Android TV.

Install Ifollow to your Android phone or tablet,
Install APK Extractor (by Meher) to your Android phone or tablet,
Open APK Extractor, scroll down to the ifollow app & extract the APK (think you need an SD card in your phone to extract to) you will have a file called "Sheff Utd_com.neulion.efl0049.apk"
Bluetooth "Sheff Utd_com.neulion.efl0049.apk" from your phone/tablet to your PC,
Transfer "Sheff Utd_com.neulion.efl0049.apk" from PC to a USB stick,
Plug the USB stick into your android TV,
Navigate to "Sheff Utd_com.neulion.efl0049.apk" using whatever file explorer is on your TV (or available from the TVs Play Store)
Install using the above app.
The best way to navigate to & open the app, once installed, is to install "Sideload Launcher" from the TVs play store.
The App will be in portrait mode, however when you watch a video in full screen, it will change to landscape.

They edited out half time so I have to wait another 45 minutes to go for a piss.

If you use online bankng, its easy to cancel on line. If you dont, try signing up, its much easier than phoning or visiting.

I have and this doesn't answer my question at all, you can't rewatch (as far as I can see) without the match scoreline clearly being visible
In the app, if you choose the dont display scores option, and go into results, the match rerun option is there and doesnt show the score anywhere - dont go into highlights though as it does show the score there
