Did ok for us Doney , as said often played out of position so didn't bring the goals we needed , I just wished Clough had signed either Scott Hogan or Iain Henderson instead out of the same Dale team of the time I think we'd have had a better goals return

Done was better than any of those but was made to play out of position for some of his time here and that made him out to be more of an inadequate player than he actually was, I think you've given Matty Done a disservice here, snoots.

OK Wiz, I'm being a bit harsh on Done and take it back, it's just that looking back over the past 6 years seems like a bad dream and I get angry. Can't believe the fee we paid for him though if some of the above reports are to be believed, he must have been one of our top 3 or 4 earners as well.

The fee was obviously a decent one (750k?) being from league one but I don't think he'll have been in the top ten earners based on the fee they got, meaning he will have had a good signing on fee (75k?) hopefully meaning we didn't have to pay that much out in wages for him. For what it's worth, my guess is he was on about £1.5k-£2k a week.

Whatever his wages were, he worked his bollocks off for them.
