For those of us who were too young, not in Sheffield or not yet Blades supporters, does anyone remember how plastic top 4 fans reacted in 2006?

It seems that Sheffield is luckier than many places in that a good percentage of the city support either United or Wednesday but does anyone remember how Sheffield born and bred people who supported teams like Liverpool or Chelsea reacted?

As in, did you suddenly see a previously Arsenal supporting neighbour mowing their lawn in a Blades shirt or were there people who'd previously never shown interest claiming they were die hard fans?

Or did things carry on as normal?

Be interesting to hear.

From memory, very few plastics around when we were both in the top flight. That's why it's good for the city.

The worse both clubs do, the more plastics pop-up. There will always be some though.

What? ???
Speak a de English! !!!

My personal opinion is given the fact that Sheffield has by and large had two crap teams to support during the Premier Leagues formation and heyday, we're almost unique in the fact that 99% of its youngsters still support one or the other.
