Why do they bother keep changing the stand names?

surely no self respecting blade calls them anything other than - kop, john street, south stand maybe laver stand, bramall lane upper/lower, john street corner, new corner

Because the silly companies who pay thousands to have their name put there don't know that

The fact that the South Stand still retains the Laver name shows that in some cases, the sponsorship sticks (it helps that the Lavers were and still are involved so much in the club).

As you said, the fans aren't affected by it and it's money for nowt

There you go again Linz, perpetuating the myth that Blades fans are less than happy with their lot. It is a well known fact that we more 'mature' blades fans are in fact never happier than when we are 'grumpy old buggers' it is a state of bliss where we have an opinion on everything, admittedly the perception may be that we are in fact being grumps, but nothing could be further from the truth. We are in a perpetual state of pure happiness and love for all makind.

Im not too bothered about the sponsored stand name situation. It brings extra money to the club through easy means. There's no need for anyone to call them by their actual names, i never do. So it's not a problem surely?

Those in the know, true fans, refer to them by names known to other fans. Bramall Lane end, Kop, John St, South Stand (maybe Laver). A Blade would know, the rest is just commercial bollocks!!!!

When I went to buy tickets for the FizzyPop Trophy I was asked where in the Valad stand I would like to sit. I have no idea where the Valad stand is, it could be in Don Valley Stadium for all I know. Or Timbuctoo.
