Where did the purple rumour even come from?

I think it was something to do with us matching the sponsors colours in our away kit in exchange for them just using black on the home kit. Kind of makes sense since I don't imagine a sponsor would accept only a b/w version of their logo being on kits they sponsor.

Bit like the match day fiasco that is trying to get a pint of warm piss water, the commercial side of our club needs reviewing...

Why aren't they setting a release date and then building excitement towards it!?!? They could coincide it with the school holidays and get some marketing behind it...
